My First Post Is Published - It's Not Ranking In SERP

I created and published my first post on my wordpress website. I submitted the URL to google search console and the URL was accepted and the page is showing up ONLY when i type in the exact url for the post/page.

Thats the problem. My post is not showing up at all for the keyword. It has been submitted on google search console for about 10 days. On SEMrush "position tracking" it shows my site is not even ranking for this keyword. I dont understand why im not showing up in the SERP at all for the keyword when its searched?

Backlinks
- I created 8 different tier 1 properties/assets (wordpress/weebly/squarespace/wix/medium/live journal/google sites/ blogger/ etc) and posted on them also with links pointing back to my post/article im trying to rank.

I dont understand what to do next or what is going on? Any experienced SEO's here that can provide some insight?

Time is a very important factor in SEO.
Reason for this is that search engines need to gather historical data about your website before they trust it.

Though in practice, almost everything works until it just doesn't. A lot of moving parts means a lot of reasons why things happen the way they do and context matters a lot more than theory when it comes to these things.

10 days is still super early for a brand new post, it can take a few weeks to properly evaluate and rank new content, even with links. just keep publishing consistently

This is actually normal, especially if the site and post are new.
10 days is still very early. Google has indexed your page, but that doesn't mean it will rank right away. New pages usually sit very deep in the results at first, so tools like Semrush often show them as not ranking at all.
Those tier-1 links won't move things quickly, and if they were all built around the same time, Google may just ignore most of them.

how can i not have an expectation for it to rank? Of course i can. If i have a great article and on-page seo done correctly, and its a LOW KD KEYWORD less than 10KD and hase over 500/mo searches, yes i can rank for it how can i not? Do you have any logic to your response to help me understand?

But even if its a "new site" - its a 7 year old domain name. Also i have seen real seo experts rank a high kd kw on page 1 using a google site/blogger site. I know that its possbile. maybe you guys arent on my mentors level it seems like with the generic responses. I appreciate the time to give your feedback, but i know what i have saw my mentors do and whats possible. they know how to manipulate the algo, they are OG's

But this is again able to be disproven because the seo mastermind im apart of has people ranking blogger sites, google sites , and pages that have numbers on them and no real content. I have watched real seo experts in the mastermind rank on page 1 for 60kd + kw ands thousands of search volume. They know how to do off page seo real well, because there was no content on the page yet they ranked on page 1 top 5 for 70KD kw and this is becuase of their link building using GSA and other tools.

Is normal your site to not appear in the google as this is not how things works..... You need time and actually post constistent and get relevant links if you want your site to rank and show ranked for the keywords and time is your biggest ally to get results in combinantion with working hard

To be real ten days is nothing in the seo world and it is completely normal for a brand new site with just one post to be invisible for a few months, google puts new domains in a "sandbox" period to test them, and those free links you built probably haven't even been found by the bots yet, you just need to stop looking at the rank tracker for now and focus on writing more content because google simply doesn't trust your site enough to rank it yet.

Don't worry, what you are seeing is completely normal for a new site in 2026. The advice you got about blasting links immediately is actually not good because it makes your site look fake to Google.

Think of it like this way, If a brand new store opens with only one product on the shelf, but 1,000 people are suddenly shouting about it, the authorities get suspicious. That is what happened here.

My advice is to stop building links for now. Google needs to see that you are a real site first. Focus on writing 10-15 helpful articles that cover your topic completely. Once Google sees you have a full library of content, they will trust you, and your rankings will appear naturally.

This is pretty normal, especially after just 10 days. In my experience, new sites or posts can take a few weeks (sometimes longer) before they start ranking for actual keywords. Also, those backlinks you made might not carry much weight yet. I’d focus a bit more on content quality and just give it some time.

Yep, I’ve had that happen. New posts can take a few weeks to show up. I kept improving the content and added internal links from older related posts, and it started showing up gradually. Patience is part of the game.
