YT Monetized Channel HELP

Hello everyone, i need your opinion in something. I was looking to buy a yt monetized channel so i can experiment a bit with YT Shorts revenue for the beginning and later for more. I dmed a guy which we had talked previously and he was selling a yt channel for 900 euros, which is already monetized, makes around 60-80 euros per day from yt shorts i believe, it makes 2k euros/month adsense revenue. At first I asked him if we can make a deal that i pay 100 euros upfront, he gives me access and ownership and then slowly paying him out the rest every month from the Ad Revenue, at first he declined, but then he asked me how much i got so i told him 130 euros for investment, which he later agreed on to be paid that upfront and then a Commission of the revenue till he's completely paid. Also, he was keen to show me how to edit videos, how to manage the channel and promised to help me in the beginning. I asked him later why would he agree to the deal that way and told me he trusts me and he doesn't want to deal with it anymore and that he had it for a long time and it was making him more before. The channel also doesn't have any strikes or copyright issues as he told me. He's also willing to screenshare and show me how the videos' creation works and prove that he owns the channel. That person is in the X, in the YT space, has 2k followers and a verified badge. My concern is if he can make the upfront fee in 2-3 days why he accepts the deal like that and also sell the whole channel for 900 euros?

He literally sells the whole channel for less than a half it makes in a month. What scams can occur from this deal? What are the potential downsides/troubles?

What info he will need to transfer channel's ownership to me? For example my own AdSense Account? My phone number, etc?

Can he regain access to the channel even after I have the access to it by a secret authentication like a phone number, 2FA or support email on YT team?

Can I get into any legal trouble since the channel will then be connected to my phone number + AdSense Account (which has addresses, phones, bank account details)?

If the deal goes on, i will for sure use a middleman + crypto payment

I need your advice + opinions...

It looks quite suspicious, It usually a 20-30x of what he earn a month - Maybe he got another channel for same niche and he wants to make a quick cash, but if I were him, I wouldn't sell for this low if it was making 60-80 Euro a day.

i know that he has 3-4 channels (including the one i wrote about), the one i told you about, another one who makes 3.5k/month which he's also selling but he doesnt tell me what price, he told me a lot and probably the other 2 which he's not selling and make big money, i also know that he for sure has a channel with 10k euros revenue in 28 days.

so you recommend not continuing with that deal even though all the proofs from the owner? It seems like a scam and a potential reagaining access schme?

Yes. I don't recommend continuing, even with proofs.
The pricing and payment structure don't make business sense, and the risk of future access recovery or monetization loss is very real. Proofs only show past revenue--not ownership safety or policy stability.

If that channel is already making so much then why would he sell .
Its like sellers long term recurring income.

The Recovery Gmail that the channel is in can’t be changed?

I would not recommend buying such channel as there are high chances of getting scammed.
If that channel is already making so much then why would he sell .
Its like sellers long term recurring income.

If a channel really makes around 2k a month, that’s solid recurring income. Selling it for 900 total and accepting only 130 upfront is not something a rational seller usually does, especially when he could make that money in a couple of weeks just by keeping the channel. Even people who want to exit fast normally sell for many months of profit, not for less than what the channel makes in a single month. That alone is a big warning sign.


The biggest risks here are not about whether the revenue screenshots are real, but about control and recovery later on. The original owner can still have recovery email, old phone number, trusted devices, old AdSense links or enough account history that Google support could side with him if he ever tries to claim the channel back. Even if you change passwords and 2FA, that doesn’t guarantee permanent ownership. And if anything happens with policy, reused content, Shorts compliance or manual review, your AdSense and your personal info are the ones connected to it, not his.


Using a middleman and paying in crypto only protects the payment part. It doesn’t protect you if the channel gets reclaimed later or if monetization gets disabled, which are the real risks in these kinds of deals.


Another thing that’s worth saying, monetizing a channel with Shorts today is not as hard as people think if you pick the right niche, study what already works and stay consistent. Plenty of new channels hit monetization pretty fast when they focus on good hooks, strong retention and posting regularly. If you put that same energy and a bit of budget into building your own channel, you avoid all the ownership drama and you keep 100 percent control of the AdSense long term.


And honestly, when you monetize your first channel by yourself, it changes how you see the whole game. After that, most people don’t even want to buy channels anymore, they just start building more and scaling what already works.


Not saying the guy is definitely scamming you, but this is exactly the kind of deal where the upside is limited and the downside can be very painful. When someone is willing to dump recurring income for very little money, there’s usually a reason, and it’s not always a good one for the buyer.


If it were me, I’d pass on this and invest the effort into building from scratch. It might take a bit more patience at the start, but it’s safer, cleaner and much better for the long run.

Owner replied and told me that the channel he’s selling to me is doing 700/month, and he saw that I have some trust issues and I should trust him because he has experience in it.

900 euros seem very cheap he is probably going to scam you
He can transfer ownership of the channel but only after 7 days you will be primary owner , until then he can just kick you out of the channel
