Recently one of my Google accounts got blocked with zero notice.
Real SIM, real IP, nothing shady, just gone, and that account had Search Console hooked to the site.
So now I’m wondering if I even need a Google account in the first place to build something legit like a SaaS and rank it.
From what I understand, Search Console is just visibility, errors, indexing info, not a ranking lever.
I’ve ranked stuff before without touching half of Google’s tools, but this is the first time I’m considering going full no-Google-services mode.
Content, links, UX, brand signals all live outside my Google login anyway, so in theory nothing should change.
The only real downside I see is flying blind on indexing issues or manual actions, which is a risk but not a ranking factor by itself.
Cost-wise it’s cheaper and cleaner, risk-wise it feels weird relying on a company that can nuke access randomly.
Anyone here running money sites or SaaS long-term with zero Google accounts tied to them?
