Is making money online just a scam?

Earning money online is not a scam it is just as like as earnling money offline. Both has some drawbacks and myths.

"making money with 0$" is an absolute SCAM.
It conflicts with the Golden Rule:
"YOU NEED MONEY TO MAKE MONEY", like your car need fuel to start and move you can't start an engine with 0$
Nah that's bs. You can make money with $0, you just need to invest time & effort.

It's a scam if you follow wrong people and you are lazy

idk bro, have you tried putting in the work?
ik it's an alien :alien: concept for you but still.

I've been on BHW for years and sometimes I follow the threads. Someone will ask if there's a way to make money, and the answers are usually "learn a skill," "start a YouTube channel," "create a blog," or some other automated AI response.
What I don't understand is why the answers are mostly the same and is making money online really a lie?

Do people actually make money online?
These are not just made up response. Like there are millions of people actually earning good money with youtube per month.

Most people now make money online :) It's a skill.

It's not a skill. Making money online is the same as making money offline. It's about diligence and a little bit of luck and knowing the right people. You need skill for whatever your business is about, but that is the same offline.

There are many members here who earn millions in profit each year here.

Making money online isn’t a scam.
You earn it by studying and putting in the work.
Most people won’t just hand you the method.
You find the info on BlackHatWorld, study it yourself, apply it, and that’s how you make money.

The making money model is a scam all the way - haven't you noticed?
Are you tired of working 9–5, using your brain, learning skills, or doing literally anything useful, and would you like to magically earn money by simply sitting on your chair, clicking one suspicious button, transferring full ownership of everything you have ever loved, and sending just $100 to my totally trustworthy account while I promise unbelievable profits with absolutely no explanation? You are in the right place at the right time, and you are literally just one tiny, extremely suspicious step away from achieving all your dreams, financial freedom, early retirement, and a life you never worked for.

Cop out answer is if you can't learn a new skill that earns dividends or you can't adapt to demand, then yeah making money online will always be just a pipe dream.

YES PURE SCAM.
If you are tired of effort, logic, and learning real skills, and are ready to achieve financial freedom by following a secret method that cannot be explained, verified, or questioned, all you need to do is click this link, send $100 immediately, and trust that everything will somehow work out in your favor.

It can feel like a lie because what i preach for a long time is that the cake is not getting bigger but for us online entrepreneurs smaller.
Of course there are working niches and methods but at todays time they get very quickly patched when abused so not many are sharing these kind of methods anymore out of self protection to their own income.
Also the changes and updates have increased a lot compared to 15-20 years ago meaning you need non stop to adjust.
And you are right when saying the replies are poor.
For me personly bhw turns more and more into digitalpoint where back on old bhw days we called them total noobs who only try to sell their poor services.
The diffrence however is here are still great minds and entrepreneurs however they mostly share good staff within small closed groups with friends.

But if you read a lot from time to time there is a gold nugget being shared on bhw which is worth reading it.
Also the big access to anything you need for marketing when knowing what and where to buy makes it also a great source.

But without a budget its hard to have success in 2026 because the competition got big.
More and more people are joining internet marketing either because of todays recession or earlier because of the hope of bigger
earnings compared to their home country.

As a westerner you need to be way more effective than indian people for example as where $500 may be suffiecient to live in india in a nice standard it won't reach even for food in the US.

Look, you might think these are automated responses, but I've been making a living from YouTube for years, and to me, money that goes into my account isn't fake.

Making money online isn’t inherently a scam, it’s a broad space that includes legitimate opportunities and a lot of noise. Many people earn through freelancing, remote jobs, affiliate marketing, creating digital products, or providing services online. However, some offers and programs are poorly designed or intentionally misleading, especially when they promise easy money with no effort. The key is to focus on skills that have real demand, verify opportunities before investing money or time, and treat online income like building a business, with realistic expectations and consistent work.
Thanks.

You are an artificial intelligence.

It's one of the hardest things to make money online running your own company, be your own business.

What makes it hard is you have to do the acquisition, customer maintenance and offer something valuable all at the same time.

And I see many people run some sort campaigns but they fail to make themselves the product, it's resales all the way down usually.

And the customers want cheap, only corporations pay good money, they understand what it really takes, the others aren't just budget restricted, they also don't know what it takes to fulfill their requests, the complexity, so they inevitably will fall for the "everything is possible amd cheapest" scammers out there.

I've built a little saas and took forever to gain some organic traction and for the peace of mind I took a lead/sen dev role, bit more than half day pensum, so I can handle custom inquiries easier, as in take it or leave it.

It takes plenty of tech and marketing skills in combination to break through, do not underestimate the marketing part, a dev will understand tech mostly, but marketing and sales (I worked in high value item lead generation and sales too) are something where people think they have invented the wheel when in fact they barely scratched the surface.

It works, but 99% of people quit before making a dime, that's why it seems fake. Everyone wants a shortcut, but it’s actually just a job without a boss

Online or offline - it really doesn't matter. It's just a question of making money. That's it.
