I've been on BHW for years and sometimes I follow the threads. Someone will ask if there's a way to make money, and the answers are usually "learn a skill," "start a YouTube channel," "create a blog," or some other automated AI response.
What I don't understand is why the answers are mostly the same and is making money online really a lie?

Do people actually make money online?

I understand what you mean.

In reality, it's not a lie. First of all, you have to know that not many people manage to really earn a living from IM in the long term.

This explains the volume of questions like “how can I make money?” on the forum, because a large (very large) proportion of people simply don't earn anything or earn very little.

The rest who do manage to earn big time money give generic answers because the answer to the question “how can I make money” is far too broad. You can make money in 1,000 different ways on the internet. There are complicated businesses, simpler businesses that are saturated, legitimate businesses, completely black hat stuff... there's something for everyone.

What this question leads to when someone makes money on the internet is “what kind of answer does the OP expect? A spoon-fed method from A to Z? When I was struggling, no one told me anything, but I'll still give him a vague answer just for the sake of it.”

And in any case, even with the best will in the world, the answer will inevitably remain vague because, as I said, it's too broad to give the kind of answer the OP is generally expecting.

To that you can add the fact that in IM, the competition is huge. There are millions of people around the world ready to do exactly what you do, so giving a method from A to Z means creating competition for yourself, and for the winner, that means earning less or nothing at all.

So, when you put it all together, everyone guards their business and their ways of working because it's too complicated to explain and if you do explain it here you earn less.

So no, it's not a lie, it's just that those who earn a ton prefer not to say anything or give you clues to explore by yourself.

There are several reasons for that

1) People don't need to sponfeed anyone, if you want to make money online this forum has tons of great content, just use the search tool, read journeys, research about subjects that you are interested in.

2) This is the wrong question. Extremely vague. ''How to make money online'' is a question that deserves this kind of vague answers, at least be more specific.

3) Pick something to focus on. People asking ''how to make money online'' need to understand that they will receive general answers like ''create a youtube channel'', ''create a website'' or ''sell stuff on marketplaces'', completely different businesses, you need to pick something specific to work on, if you try to work with everything, you will probably won't even work. For example, if you pick Youtube, your questions will be much more specific, ''how youtube algo works'', ''is it more profitable to work with shorts or long form content'', ''how to improve my CTR'', not only a generic question like ''how to make money''

"making money with 0$" is an absolute SCAM.
It conflicts with the Golden Rule:
"YOU NEED MONEY TO MAKE MONEY", like your car need fuel to start and move you can't start an engine with 0$

but you can actually start with a very small budget like even 100$ and still doing something online ..... in real life budget will not help at all....

Not a scam, there are plenty of people making great money online, you just need to find out what niche you want to play in.

Best regards,

The question itself is wrong. Also, don't ask people "how to make money". Instead, go learn something, learn learn learn, and then start something, whether a blog, ecommerce, dropshiping, crypto, forex, CPA, affiliate marketing ... whatever. and then work work work. you'll do a loooot of mistakes, and it's a part of the journey.

Making money online is a solar system by itself, it has many planets. SEO alone is a big planet by itself. One thing I would advice you is: Do not jump from planet to planet looking for easy ways to make money. Stick to something, and give your whole focus on it.

Good luck, and yeah, there's also a planet for scammers, don't go there.

There is no easy way to make money. Making money online is easily scalable and thats why its "easy". If you have method that bring $10/day you can in most cases scale it to $100 or $1k/day.

Be sure that making money is not a scam. The problem is asking. You need to ask very specific question to get a good answer. Thoughout the world millions of people are working online now from engineers to data entry guys. They live on the online income. How could it be scam?

Making money online is real, but most people fail because they expect fast results without putting in real effort or learning deeply.
