Ok, I can't determine which one is supposedly better than the other:

ViralInviter[dot]com

or

Super-Tell-A-Friend[dot]com

I keep reading the second is cheaper and has more options.

Is this true?

Viral Inviter looks more pro and doesn't take up a whole lot
of space on the whole page, like Super-Tell-A-Friend does.

Tried the demo demonstration test for both, but the Super
Tell A Friend's one sounds confusing. Where the heck should
I go to invite my contacts?? It looks like more of a demo for
the tracking area of the marketer, not the visitor.

or where I should If money wasn't an issue, which would you

Also, I just wanted to let you know that Aweber will not allow you to use a TAF (Tell a friend) script with their auto responder service. You might want to check out a service called PRO Sender. They allow TAF scripts. I hope this helps.:israel:

Thanks RebelMaster, so you could just use the TAF scripts with ProSender and then import them into Aweber if you wanted to go that route I guess.

The problem with the tell a friend scripts is that they require visitors to directly recommend/suggest something to their friends via email while doing a FB Share or Like is a much nicer way to make a share with friends and is not intrusive towards the friends. This is what the ilikeviral plugin does but it is still only available for WP but for those running WP sites it could be very nice option and only costs $9.90 for BHW members.

The iLikeViral is also being made as PHP script as well. Was planned for release today, but will take a couple more days to finish

This is very clever plugin that gently pushes the LIKE and SHARE buttons to visitors in a way that should not make them angry. Of course the plugin can also be set up to force users to LIKE or SHARE before usres access the site but that is up to site owners and will depend on how excited users are to enter the site (could work fine for good movie sites !!).

Using /bhw after domain name gives big discount for BHW members.

Viral inviter scripts don't work for everything thats for sure, but if it's something that is known as already viral people won't mind as much and will in fact gladly use it. It basically has to be of real quality and something that they wouldn't mind their friends having as well.

OP, look at gigya, wibiya, or even addthis for viral marketing tools instead of buying a script.

I am ready to try it out when the php version is ready, as I will be using it on my regular site rather than a blog.

Can you tell us the pros and cons of using the share versus the like?

I have many pages I will show the popup, and don't understand which would be the most beneficial.

Hi,

The PHP plugin of the iLikeViral script (for all PHP sites and not only WordPress) should be ready tomorrow and in it there is also a new feature that allows people to press the LIKE or SHARE button and gain access to discount page instead of exisiting page. This means you can for example say in message:

"Please press the Share button and get access to the discount page and buy our product for only $10 instead of $15 !!"

By using this as access to discount page, You as website owner gain exposure to your website to the visitors friends, and the visitor gains discount to your product. WIN WIN for all.

You can also just use this as a gentle request to your website visitors to ask them to easily tell their friends about it, by pressing the button. If you have interesting site, it should be easy task getting users to LIKE or SHARE.

The difference between LIKE and SHARE is how it is presented to friends. If Share is is used it is published in the user's News feed, but if he presses Like it goes to his profile. So Like is ore persistent, but fewer may see it immediately !

Yes, we are the developers of this and many other things. We are trying to get the script in sales thread here on BHW and the discount now is especially high and we will not keep it at this price for long as we want to have it only available at higher prices and allow our members to reap good affiliate benefits (min $15) from selling it through the affiliate link on their plugin.

iLikeViral only costs $9.90 for BHW members so it would surprise me if the other plugin is much more affordable, then it has to be free! Anyway the iLikeViral is using the fact that over 600 million users in the world have a Facebook account, and are usually logged in during the day, and have therefor no problem pressing the Like or Share buttons for the site they like or to get access to discount or something like that. It has also various adjustments and can be used to give access to discount page if users press the Like or Share buttons.

For those who have been requesting here on the thread, the iLikeViral wordpress is now also ready as normal PHP/JAVASCRIPT to use by all normal websites running on PHP. It will be for sale on the site by the morning (tomorrow) and also at same BHW discounted price.
