Hey everyone at BHW,
I’ve been providing cloud-based accounts, RDP/VPS and SMTP services for about 5 years now. Since the beginning of this year I’ve managed to build some solid contacts. After I started selling here on BHW, things have been moving in a positive direction for me and it’s helped me connect with some very skilled and knowledgeable people.
To grow things further, I partnered up with someone and we launched a website where we sell our services. While this was in progress, one of my clients – who runs his own VPS company – offered me a partnership to resell his company’s servers.
I want everything to be as professional and solid as possible, but I’m still struggling to build a stable, consistent work routine. I have trouble focusing at times, and in some areas I feel like my knowledge and skills are not enough yet.
I know there are members here who have experience running hosting or VPS/hosting companies. If you have some time, I’d really appreciate the chance to ask you a few questions and get your advice.

If you have some technical questions then feel free to send me a DM. I am a full-stack developer :)

Let's share this in public here so others can also benefit.

Are you affiliating , and selling on behalf of the partner or partner is having it service directly under your brand

This how you can deal with the technical areas by having an extra hand or you focus on sales only

I use AI to translate my questions If I seen artificial I am sorry again!
Thanks,
Keeping it public makes sense so others can benefit too, I’m totally fine with that.
My main questions are around how to structure this properly:

I’ll be reselling VPS servers from an EU provider under my own brand (separate website), not as a simple affiliate. From your experience, is it better to keep it 100% white-label under my brand, or to be more transparent and mention the upstream provider?
For the start I’m planning to provision the servers manually from their panel and deliver details to the client. Later we might automate it (WHMCS/API etc.). Is this a reasonable approach for a small operation at the beginning?
How would you split responsibilities in terms of support? My idea is: I handle pre-sales and level 1 support, and the provider handles server/node issues. Does that sound right?
Are there any “must have” agreements or SLAs you recommend having in place with the upstream provider before I start pushing real volume?
Any advice or examples from your own experience would help me a lot. Thanks again for your time.

From a technical perspective, it would be a good idea to coordinate this clearly with your partner so he can take over the entire technical side while you focus on branding, marketing, and the overall customer experience, because from what I understand, that seems to match the roles and goals you’re aiming for.
