I know everyone is talking about how AI in ecommerce will continue to grow in 2026, but what about other strategies to scale ecommerce growth?

We are trying to build our 2026 growth plan to increase conversions and would like to know what other ecommerce store owners are planning as well.

Our strategy meetings are all about AI tools and AI strategies.

Any other areas to explore or focus on?

In addition to AI, many stores are focusing on optimizing web speed, improving checkout, and using UGC to increase conversion rates. Retention via email, SMS, and loyalty also delivers solid results and is often cheaper than just driving new traffic.

I feel growth will still come from basics like good offers, fast pages, and clear trust signals, not just AI.

AI will matter in 2026, but ecommerce growth still depends on the basics. Brands are doubling down on faster checkouts, stronger email/SMS flows, better UGC, improved product pages, and loyalty driven retention.

Beyond AI, the core focus for 2026 must be mitigating mobile checkout friction, which causes over 75% of cart abandonment globally. Focus heavily on optimizing SMS marketing funnels and push notifications. Studies show that personalized SMS recovery campaigns achieve a 20-25% higher conversion rate than standard email recovery flows, representing significant low-hanging revenue that doesn't rely on complex AI models.

In addition to AI, in 2026 many brands will focus heavily on optimizing the shopping experience (fast checkout, smooth UX, simple personalization).
Push UGC + creator ads because the conversion rate is higher than traditional ads.
And build community + retention through loyalty, SMS, email flow to increase LTV instead of just hunting for new customers.

To grow your e-commerce business, it all comes down to content, and traffic. What are you doing in e-commerce, who is seeing and who is buying. To grow any business, we need all the traffic we can get. Develop a solid website in the correct niches, drive organic traffic and build a customer base . Referrals and returns will always keep up your business and have an existing customer base to promote new projects to.
