Membership for my telegram channel

Hello friends, I want to set up a subscription system for my Telegram channel. In other words, only those who pay a monthly fee will remain in the channel. If their payment is automatically renewed at the end of the month, they can stay; otherwise, they will be automatically removed. I know writing a bot for this is quite easy, but I’m struggling with the payment processing part.

I’d like to accept payments via Stripe or any method that supports credit or debit cards. PayPal or Google Pay could also work. Could you suggest some payment solutions I could use for this system?

I live in a country which stripe doesn't support, so i am facing with problems. Thank you.

i am not sure most of people can use cryptocurrency, are you sure everyone can handle with usdt or ?

looking at my personal surroundings, I’d say majority of people doing business online are used to atleast some form of paying with crypto. It might vary though, what is the niche of your channel?

i can handle with automating payment system, even i dont know some AI help me much.

the important part is payment method for me, because i cant use stripe or paypal directly

i am looking for that people will subcribe on my channel like mail order, the broker will receive regular payments for me and pay me in crypto

A few years ago I used Patreon for the similar purpose. They allow to set your own webhooks so you know when subscription activation/cancel happens. Though you still need PayPal/Pioneer account to get your money from the service. Also heard about Paddle but didn't use it myself. Hope it helps.

But my point is, you don't need to actually post there. Patreon can be used as a payment provider.

It allows you to receive payments without even leaving Telegram, and with 1.5 million users it seems quite reliable. I’m planning to try Tribute first, but if it doesn’t work out, my next stop will definitely be Patreon.

I believe this can be done via the Telegram API; there's nothing that can be done using drag-and-drop.

telegram stars eating 40-60% is exactly why most people running paid channels move off it fast. the cleaner setup: your own bot takes the payment (stripe or crypto), then hands out a single-use invite link so the link can't be passed around, and a daily cron checks who's expired and kicks them automatically. that last part is what people skip, the kicking has to be automated or the channel slowly fills with freeloaders who stopped paying. if you don't want to build it, tribute and whop both do the paywall + auto-remove for you and take way less than stars. you trying to build it yourself or just want it working?

For adult niche I wouldn't build around Patreon/PayPal/Stripe unless you are ok with waking up one day frozen, seen that happen few times. @pantyous if Telegram Stars is already working then fine for testing demand, but 40% is brutal long term. For card payments look more at adult-friendly processors like CCBill, Segpay, Verotel/Epoch, they are made for this kind of stuff and handle rebills better. Downside is approval can be annoying and fees are not small, but still better than losing account + balance. Then just connect their webhook to your bot and auto kick expired users. Crypto can be second option, not main one, because yeah a lot of buyers still get confused with USDT networks and send wrong chain etc.

Stars is fine for testing if people actually pay, but 40% cut is painful once volume starts. For adult + rebills I’d look more at CCBill, Segpay, Epoch/Verotel type processors, boring but at least they’re used to that niche. Stripe/PayPal/Patreon can work until they suddenly don’t, and then the hold/freeze is worse than the fees.

Best setup imo is still simple: processor webhook hits your bot, bot gives single use invite, saves expiry date, then daily job kicks expired users. Keep USDT as backup payment option, but not main unless your audience is already crypto familiar.

The easiest approach would be to use an existing billing service provider that offers recurring payments through webhooks and just connect it to the Telegram bot.
One such popular choice is Stripe Billing (great documentation automated), or Paddle Lemon Squeezy if you need less headaches with payment complance and global card support.
