It is impossible. This is kind of understood at the time of making the deal.

If it's a free guest post, then you've less to do, it can be taken down anytime.

If you're paying for the link, then you should work with trusted publishers, focus on the admins only, and set a clear term before the deal.

Keep all the paid links in a file, and check them 2 to 3 times a year, and if a link is dead, you can easily talk to the publisher.

Some don't drop the link, but add nofollow after some time.
