If you want a “Connect” or “Message” button on your profile, turn on Professional Mode and enable message requests — otherwise, only a Facebook Page lets you fully customize those buttons

That’s more of a profile/page setting thing check under edit profile > buttons. FB hides it sometimes depending on region .
