I found a decent prod worth testing, but it already has 1 competitor, should I compete? it's not super niched down. so its not specific af to 1 angle

1 competitor is actually better than none tbh, as it shows ppl are buying. if it’s not super niched down, you can still test diff angles or creatives n see if u can stand out.

You wanted a product with no competitors? Naaah...It literally a bad idea in entrepreneurship and marketing generally. Your competitor can sometimes be your strength because you will be able to spy on their performance, product pricing and customers complains which is their weakness and easily leverage on that to improve your own overall delivery.
Yeah, it's definitely a good thing to have competitor then - you can just copy their stuff to start some sales then without much hassle.

Your job is to see what they are doing well and where they are failing so you can do it better. If you can't beat them on price, beat them on quality, service, or a more compelling brand story.

Sounds like a niche with almost no competition. People are going into niches with a lot more competitors and making it big. Of course, the niche needs to be large enough too.
