[ Just WOW ] Google is adding in-line links to AI Mode.

Definitely useful, nowadays any kind of new traffic source is welcome and in this case, very fair to publishers

Still, the traffic a site receives will reduce drastically, but something is better than nothing. Generally, people can find the answer to their queries in the response generated by the AI and don't need to visit the website. But it's a start, I guess.

So they are hearing our voices guys!
they're not hearing you, they're taking a calculated risk because they know that without people making new content their super duper "advanced" machine becomes useless within months because it's so "advanced" that it's incapable of updating itself with all of its fake-ass conscience and intelligence that it never had, so google are throwing crumbs at you to keep you slaving your time away to improve their content stealing machine.

In other words, they are playing you (as they've always done)

But if these crumbs are what's making you money, keep grinding I guess!

They don't hear anyones voices, the only thing they hear is ka-ching. They don't care about anyone, except their shareholders if even that.

Google's AI mode with inline links could be a double edged sword for content creators. While it might bring more visibility, remember, Google’s always playing its own game, it’s not your friend. They want to keep users within their ecosystem, so while you might get some traffic, you need to be careful not to rely too much on them, as they could still direct it elsewhere.

That’s great news, because in-line links mean more fair traffic back to real site owners.

Don't be happy yet. No one will visit your website to read the article :)))
Now there is a chance, right?

You are true. As there is no legal actions to take while stealing our content, current situation is somehow better than previous one.

Great news that they'll be redirecting 5% of that traffic to the actual source, how generous :D
That's another reminder for webmasters to know that they don't primarily own Google traffic, nor are they fully entitled to it

oh, definitely! But I wanted to remind everyone of the reasons for which google do what they are doing. It's not that they're this compassionate multri-trillion company that wants to save and improve the world, it's the opposite :)
