Would you exploit it for max profit? or would you report it to the company and hopefully have a nice reward?

My username is from a company that I exploited... Amazon, UPS, Lands End, Google, Uber, Lyft and a handful of others left things open so I slipped in the side door, and played.

I have received so many C&Ds over the years from those big boys, I could wallpaper my living room.

Well its all up to the eye of the beholder as to what works? One thing may work in Africa. May not work in South America. And one thing that works in two continents may work in Europe or not in Asia or the middle east. It really is us deciding destiny I think personally. Look at how far humans have come WITHOUT war. With war both? Anyway, don't want to get too philosophical about it. But, to some extent you only see what you want to. You'll only pursue what you think makes sense?

It really depends what that exploit is, how much legal trouble I am get into

getting in and out is the way to go, but I believe that the exploit I found I can make a lot more if I keep under the radar for long term.
I think that I can really milk it and make a substantial profit, but I think I can get max profit with it only if I stay under the radar and stick to it long term.

I think I can easily push it and take a bug chunk in one day, but that would raise all kind of alarms and red flags and it would probably get patched very fast

But if I stay under the radar, I think I can milk it and make quite a bit of $$$

The company will never reward you as much as if you were exploiting it to the fullest. If you can get the maximum profit out of it, go for it.
