bit.ly is crap! if you don't mask your bit.ly link any random person can add a little bit of magic to the end of the link and navigate to your info page for that link, so they can see how you are getting the traffic and in some cases steal it. but worse than anything a product owner can see how you are getting the traffic and if he doesn't like it he can tell you to get stuffed and not pay you.
