I was just reading that YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram users who edit their videos with CapCut now mean allowing them to make money from derivatives of your work. And all your bases belong to them now. lol

Let's collectively agree we can stay away from this, and use alternatives!

I would use premier, and program a plugin that does it or buy a ready made plugin that does the same thing? There are a few available. You can look up tutorials on capcut effect in Premiere.

The majority of CapCut users are not pro editors or have the Adobe skills. To create the same 'UGC-style' videos (as one example) using premier, in the hands of an amateur (like myself) would be extremely inefficient.

I would be keen to hear about alternatives that have the same breadth and simplicity as CapCut too. I've been down the editing rabbit hole and most tools out there, especially mobile, do something well, but doesn't offer everything CapCut offers.

PS - CapCut's support is non existent, I hate it.

Here is what I get when I search alternatives. If there are videos saying CapCut is dead, then it's pretty much guaranteed the same features elsewhere.

That's not the first time something like this happens and it won't be the last time too. I remember there were tons of news about Facebook and other platforms steal info of their users and make money from it but there is not any sign of dropping number of users for these platforms.
