Hey everyone,

I’ve recently completed my 60-day mark here on BHW, and I’ve really enjoyed being part of the community so far – lots of value and great people around.

I understand that to upgrade (e.g., marketplace access or other permissions), I also need to make 100 posts. At the moment, I still have 81 posts to go.

My question is – is there any possible way to upgrade or unlock access without having to complete all 100 posts? I totally understand the reasoning behind the post requirement (engagement, spam prevention, etc.), but I’d rather not post just for the sake of it and clutter threads with low-value replies.

Is there an alternative method, or maybe a request-based consideration for active readers/lurkers?

Thanks in advance – looking forward to hearing from the mods or anyone who’s been through something similar.

Cheers!

Think about it this way, if you can't manage 100 posts, then JRVIP probably isn't for you.

Its really for those that are committed to the community, and want to support the forum, and actively engage in internet money making activites.
Not just get 100 posts, and then run to offer what could possibly be a crappy service, (based on your commitment to the 100 posts I'm just assuming this) commitment is a habit, not a per cases by cases choice, is my perception.

Its up to you to choose the posts that most relate to what your working on, and engage. If you are busy working everyday on your business, and its web related, there is content everyday to get tips and help others here on bhw. Don't be shy.

Posting just to hit the number and then jumping into offering services—like web design, for example—without genuine commitment might not reflect well on you or your work. Commitment is a habit, not something to pick and choose case by case, at least that’s how I see it.

That said, you can choose to engage in threads that relate closely to what you’re working on. If your focus is web design, there’s plenty of content daily where you can get tips, share insights, and help others here on BHW. Don’t hesitate to get involved!

If you don't qualify for Jr. VIP but still want to submit a thread onto the marketplace then Marketplace seller is for you. Your payment of $749 permits you to submit a listing on the BHW marketplace subject to the standard marketplace terms and moderator approval. Please see marketplace for further details. https://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/bhw-marketplace-rules-and-how-to-post.203/

Please take a look

Thank you!
Thanks for the clarification!

The Marketplace Seller option definitely looks helpful, but unfortunately, the $749 fee is out of my budget at the moment.

That’s why I was hoping there might be an alternative route, maybe something in between or a more gradual upgrade path. I’m more than happy to contribute real value to the forum, I just don’t want to spam low-quality posts just to hit 100.

If there’s any advice or suggestions from the mods or experienced members on how to best approach this, I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks for the help!

I appreciate your perspective — and I completely understand where you're coming from.

Just to clarify, it's not that I'm unwilling to make 100 posts — it's more that I want to do it the right way and avoid posting just for the sake of numbers. I do value the community and definitely don't want to come across like I’m trying to "shortcut" my way in.

I’ve been more of a silent learner on BHW, soaking in value quietly — but you’re right, engaging more is something I need to get better at. I’ll take your advice and start contributing where I can add real value based on my experience and work.

Thanks for the reality check — all taken in good spirit!

This question was answered less than 12 hours ago: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/can-i-sell-my-service-without-upgrading.1725911/post-19438337 - the links we provided contain all the information you need.
Please check https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/updated-bhw-member-levels.889577/
Jr VIP = $147, 60 days membership plus 100 posts
Marketplace seller membership = $749, no requirements for age of account or number of posts
There's no workaround.

Thanks for providing the other aspect to this answer @Panther28 - it's about community, support & engagement.

@MR Jackson It's not just about reaching '100 posts' - we require genuine engagement. That means taking the time to find the answers yourself, read those that are given to you and make helpful contributions.
Posting simply to increase your post count would be viewed as post count inflation. Please read: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/an-overview-of-post-count-inflation.1301900/
