This year has been very busy at GP due to ID verification, I guess this has caused thousands of accounts to be closed and tens of thousands of apps to be unpublished.
Have you noticed any improvement in the amount of downloads in your accounts now that technically there should be less competition?

high risk once you upload an app

Because of the risk on Google Play, some devs are diversifying to other app stores. It seems like a smart move to diversify and reduce dependency on one platform.

Which platforms are worth it besides Apple if your apps are available on iOS as well?

No idea for Apple, as I know, the iOS apps only can be distributed trough Apple Store, however, some new law will enforce Apple to open the installation source to other stores, but I don't know when or where.

I haven’t noticed a major download boost. Google’s cleanup removed low-quality apps, but growth still depends on strong ASO, good ratings, and marketing, not just less competition.

It's only math, if you need to compete with 100 apps instead of 1000, you logically will receive more downloads because the user amount will remain the same or more, however, I don't get any boost, instead, every day get less organic installs, no matter ASO and 4.8 rating average.
