Yup, that's pretty much right. You only really need to change up your IP if you are setting up multiple properties on the same network. So for example, if you plan to setup two hubpage profiles, make sure you use two different IPs. If however you are going to setup a hubpage and a blogger account, no need to change it up.

Try to keep your geo location consistent with where you are as well if you are going to do this. This is usually what gets accounts pinched. If the IP that was used was from say Mexico, and you claim in your profile your address is in New York.. NO SOUP FOR YOU!

Is it just me, or does the term 'linkwheel' seem outdated? I think we can all agree this no longer resembles a wheel of any sort. I think this method of randomized link building using web2.0 properties needs a better phrasing. When I think about how it all looks, I think of it more along the lines of perhaps what might look like tree roots. Consider the similarities of a tree root and how it branches out with bigger roots and smaller offshoots supporting the bigger ones. Ultimately they all lead to the same trunk (money site).

I would like to consider others using the term 'Linkroots' as the new term for 2010+ that applies to the evolution of what was once considered linkwheels.

Have a look at my original post and you will see that I agree, and the term "linkwheel" is only being used for expediency since it's so widely known.

What I am proposing is indeed not technically a linkwheel, but it will feature interlinking structures between some of the hubs. I have not finalised the exact nature of the interlinking I will use. Further to this, not all the hubs will link to the central trunk.

I can see what you mean about terminology though - it is time to stop using the word "linkwheel". The obvious solution is "mini-net" but it's quite vague and doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. I like "naturalized network" but it's a bit too long. Linkroots is nice but it sounds like a commercial service!

Thanks for taking the time out for clarifying myths on the link wheel. I for one still believe that these wheels still work, IF done in the right way and I see evidence almost on a daily basis to believe this. There are many things that can stop a wheel from working besides the list of things you have mentioned which are outside of the influence of the link wheels. Say competitive influences or SEO health of the moneypage you are trying to promote as an example. But what is clear, is that like in any SEO program, this takes meticulous planning, effective resources and flawless execution to get them working. This is definitely not something one would want to "give it a shot and see" for sure.

Also, we would love to know what you think about a new structure for back links development:www.linkpushing.com . One can easily mistake this for a link wheel, but I hope you are able to tell the difference. Let me know if you would like me to sketch this up like an image for you. We would really like to know what you think of it.

BTW, I don't claim ownership of this new structure of developing back links. The original owner had no problem with anyone using his ideas.

I think that the main point is that you should have posted some 4-5 about 500 words articles each blog or even more and only after that start interlinking, but whether these articles are uniqe or not is not as important as considered

I dont think so much that google care about unique content so they wont give you any juice.

However, content that only appears in one place (especially if it is surrounded by other unique content) will help create an authority site.

Also you use unique content across mass properties you create in a short time to stop Google from realizing that one person is generating all the links.

Though saying that a lot of people quote and link off of other sites so maybe that is something to consider.

The model I came up with is designed not to take any chances. Unique content is definitely best, there is no doubt about that. Whether duplicate content can be used or not is a subject for another thread.

The possibility of Google having a problem with copied content is a possibility for a "trigger" as outlined in the original post, and therefore, unique content is appropriate for the model I am proposing.

Duplicate content might be ok, but I do not personally think so, and would prefer to try and convince Google that my mini sites are authoritative.

The service that ppcmaster is offering in his post was developed and designed by me and although I am fine with others sharing the method, I am a bit surprised that he just copied my ebook word for word but that is his prerogative. He also offers to "sketch up an image" but he won't have to sketch anything as he already has the image I generated in my ebook. The process is not new, I've been using it for almost a year.

That being said, I am flattered that he didn't change the process as he sees the value in the structure I developed.

I have since taken this to another level and am in the process of having a program developed that will do 90% of the work for the link push since I make several of these a week. I believe that I will have a working copy of the program in my "hands" by the end of the week and will see how it goes.

@Micallef - I would say a typically good thread started by you but your threads are generally not typical, they are almost always excellent and good for the community.

They are putting one link to the targetpage and one link to the last created page. At the end you have a open linkwheel. Or maybe more than one when some profiles arent indexed.

Having been heavily involved in standard linkwheel production at the end of last year, I saw a stark crackdown come into effect as regards Google's treatment of them.

Define standard as: spun content, short content, few or no blog updates, and the all important link structure footprint - new blogs chain linking to each other, and all these blogs pointing toward one site.

It used to work but no longer. It's now really tough to get anything really effective of this sort happening in Google at the moment.
