Some domain registers honestly play with fire, I hold some domains with Namesilo and never had issues but that doesn't mean it won't happen.
Similar things happened to me with SAV, close to a hundred domain names of mine won on THEIR auction got locked, and nameservers changed. Neither did I ever use the domain names on there but mostly used SAV for their auctions.
It could be anything from a "past history" of a domain name that gets you in trouble and there are also and this sounds like a joke but it's honestly a real thing that people open up a small shop and call it Selling shoes, then decide to put a claim on those domain names.

So the owner of Thursday (dot) com had to lawyer up against a rather new company called Thursday Boots as they claimed rights on Thursday, odd enough this case still doesn't sit well with me as they lost but that case is still all around the web, kinda putting a stigma on such an expensive and amazing domain name.
In my case, with SAV, I did end up getting legal help but it was purely a sum up of the damage claims we would potentially bring to court topping it off with a viral LinkedIn post and using Namepros.com, where btw also Namesilo is active to get all my domains released.
But it's still honestly a fucking joke as I had to fund a good sum of domain names to transfer out within a short period of time.
I honestly don't know anything about Namesilo in this regard but based on that email where it says you have to drop the disputes to release your domain names is absolutely disgusting.
Just keep in mind it's not that big of a company either, Company size: 11-50 employees.
Same with many and many other domain registers.
I know it's not worth bringing all this to court, especially if you are overseas and the fees add up but oh my fucking good, there will be one day they catch the wrong person with this crap and go bankrupt faster than they can email you with a simple sorry.

Well, of course I didn't mean now. If I had seen the last discussions on the forum, I would not have used Njalla. I meant about two years ago when I searched for the best registrar. Njalla frequently appeared as a good option and was created by PirateBay creator so....

So you see all this heat going down on Piratebay and decide that's a good option while it's smoking hot lmao, that kinda made me laugh and on another note, it's the extensions and hardly the register if you looking for offshore that is why you see torrent websites with extensions like. TO
These domains actually have different laws and make it much harder for everyone to go after them.
But I am not seeing OP doing any of that so not even sure why it would matter.

That's one selling point that he was piratebay creator, if you deny that's a great selling point then i don't know what is! the only thing he signals by that statement is that they do protect domain names, which BHW Users back then have said that Njalla denies many takedown requests, passing them to the host instead, since the don't host any content (if you only used their domain service of course). And even now, some users on BHW claim that Njalla is still a good option. You can check this comment:

The owner of Njalla mentioned that many individuals were suspended because they were involved in child pornography and other shitty activities, which is why takedowns were made.

You are not making sense bro, ICANN = end boss for most domain extensions, if you run an operation where you have billion-dollar industries trying to take you down it's not even up to the register anymore as you can claim domains with ICANN.
You call it a great selling point I call it a great honey pot, why go where there is trouble?
How did it work out in the end?
Maybe I am wrong but OP is talking about normal, investing domain names, holding them or just using them as good value not to build the next Piratebay.
Even worse hosting valuable domain names amongst "child shit".

I said iCANN didint want to give Njalla license to be its own domain registrar, so they went with Tucow and they are now reselling domains, they dont register them themselves!!! I think you do not make sense in this, it's like im wiring about somethign and you say other thing.
Its not like they go after all domains handled by Njalla mate, since njalla is not a registrar!!! the registrar is Tucows!!! and Tucows resell also to other and also have their own, so there is no honey pot to begin with.
How did it work out in the end???? I just moved to Njalla, I have no issues, I just asked the OP about the trigger since he claimed they took his domain down!! now I know you just posting to post, and didnt even read what i said here!

For almost a year, 9 months or so.
It was a movie streaming website, and barely making $10 a day, so I didn't bother looking up further what did trigger that.

Post all of this on LinkedIn as well and mention them, including all the employees you can find. Then, post the link to the publication here so we can like and share it.
Reading through your experience with Namesilo, leaves a sour taste in the mouth. What the fvck! I suggest you post this on Namepros , a fourum for domainers where namesilo is quite active. I am sure it would give you more traction.

Tucows is a domain registrant not a domain provider. You can not buy directly from them but through their affiliated providers like Namecheap, GoDaddy, Cloudflare etc.

I bought a new domain .blog last week from namechep. Website wordpress is not installed now, not connected to a webhost and I was shocked seeing today when I type in the domain name in google at top #1 spot in google, a Sedo parked domain page comes up with my new registered domain. Is this normal today that registrars can do with your domain name what they want? I can only set this parking domain to "off" when I route it in my DNS dashobard to a new webhosting.

Namesilo has become a complete disaster. My website has been hacked and reported for phishing, the domain is suspended, and despite having a dedicated representative every two days for a month, they haven't responded. All they've said is, "We'll take care of it." This is an incredibly disgraceful situation.
