Do Medium articles still rank on Google

Noticed that a few years ago medium decided to put the no index tag on newly published articles.

But recently I have been seeing new medium articles pop up in SERP.

If you have experience using medium for blogging. What can you do to ensure your article is rankable and not affected by the no index tag?
I think you need to make sure your Medium articles are rankable, consider publishing them on your own site or use Medium’s “Publish to Your Site” feature to build backlinks and retain SEO value.

It still ranks if you keep on page SEO good. Overall, Medium is given good authority by Google and thus when you post a good content article there, there is good chance that it will rank well on Google.

Yes, Medium articles can still rank on Google if they are well-optimized for SEO, target relevant keywords, and provide high-quality, engaging content. However, competition and Medium's domain authority compared to niche-specific sites may affect rankings.

Now today google not recommends using canonical tags for syndication. That means, that big sites , big syndication sites like medium too, now will steal your content because this canonical tag is not necessary, which tell the google bot which page/article is the original, right?

They do and can be used on low competition kws.

Also from the branding/ORM angle works well. Meaning you promote the brand name as a kw, do it as a UGC

He ??? uffff...... you mean rewrite the article title as branding keyword before syndicate to medium ?
Like: your website name is johnnysmith(com) and in any category page and article your write you have the meta title description (set via seo plugin) like this: Johnnysmith- best brain hack methods or something ?
So that your name is in any category page, article and blog post as meta tag title ?

category page: Johnnysmith- Energetic Nutritions (example)
page: Johnnysmith- Knowledge Base
post: Johnnysmith- my happiness path journey... (example)

Or when to want become a category king then use this method in seo plugin for meta tag title- category name would be like energetic pulse or something;

category: Energetic Pulse- happiness
article: Energetic Pulse- modern work life balance
single post: Energetic Pulse- the happiness journey

some entrepreneurs like Tim Ferriss (he is a category king) doing the Johnnysmith method, others who are category kings too, like 5hourenergy(com) using the Energetic Pulse method.
What do you think ?

Yes, but it should not be high quality or AI.
How using my persona lbranding name in any , page, post then syndicate it, how that makes a difference that other big sites not steal/claim my article and rank with it as the original source? I not understand....

Ok for organic seo to make your name viral in the web, then this method will make your website look like example bloomberg, bloomberg has multiple categories. When you click on any category the bloomberg cms site title changes too, like Bloomberg Europe, Bloomberg Politics, Bloomberg Market and so on....
I tried it to implement in my wordpress cms but not works the free WP not has this function.
But you know I like twists, life twists yeah, so I can do the same with a seo plugin to set the meta description title with my brandingname+ post title.

Do you know some seo secrets these big siotes like Hearst, cnn, wsj, birdie and many more using? SEO methods that we can implement in our content stretegy too as small single entrepreneurs without have big ressources like them ?

What do you think ?
Like this:

Tim Hook is a leading real estate agent in LA.

You then make posts like reviews made by people like the following:

How Tim Hook Made Our LA Home Search Stress-Free

The Realtor Who Knows Los Angeles Better Than Anyone

So they tend to rank. When people look up a branded keyword. KWs like: "How is Tim Hook real estate from LA?"

If you are lucky, it also pops up in the generative AI section of Google.

Tim Ferriss has this meta tag in his site source text view for articles/posts: meta property="og:title" content="Are You Hunting Antelope or Field Mice? - The Blog of Author Tim Ferriss" />

With SEO plugin ot makes your life easier, have the name here Johnnysmith as site title in the WP cms, but in your posts too like this meta tag example.

Yes, Medium articles can still rank on Google.
Medium ranks the slowest these days. There are other parasites that rank better than medium.

Medium can be used a bottom layer for the pyramid when you focus on pushing content about a brand on the SERP.

You can have on your wordpress Home page on your services pages and category pages a H1 page title like this:
How J Smith helps clients making six figures or like this: How clients getting six figures | by J Smith
Makes your H1 title little bit more distinct, unique and gives it a personal touch when you have a non personal name domain.
That's a twist when your name is common and crowded in the serps with many other similar names.

You can design a category name for your H1 page title!

The catch is, nobody is doing that to all single blog posts only on specific pages. Example Tim Ferriss you not see he adds on every blog post H1 title his name at the end.

Happy Day !

Why I should not have my author profile with link to my website at the end of each article ? Do medium publications accept new writers or only journalists or famous people (do they accedpt AI content) ?

Try to publish under a trusted publication or grow your own. Avoid the noindex tag by building authority and engagement

I don't think they rank anymore .Quora and linkedin are better options .
