Do you know anything about using bots to pump up traffic for seo?

Of course there are tools out there or you can build your own. But, Google is not stupid, so whatever you use, it better be carefully implemented and tested so that your site doesn't get delisted from Google. That's gonna be like a death setence..

We all know that, dosent really matter as long as you dont abuse the spam for seo boost. You good to go.

Using bots to artificially boost traffic for SEO is generally not recommended and can lead to penalties from search engines like Google. While bots might increase traffic temporarily, they won't lead to meaningful engagement or conversions, and search engines are getting better at detecting this kind of behavior. Instead, focus on organic methods like creating high-quality content, improving on-page SEO, and building genuine backlinks. These efforts will lead to sustainable traffic and long-term success.

I’d like to know if bot traffic is useful for improving rankings?

Rarely
In general they could be useful for churn and burn or tier 2-3 projects, it can help you for a while but it's not reliable for your money website or long term projects.

I've always wanted to test this. Bot traffic would probably use proxy. But there are services where its real human. Right now I don't have a site I'm willing to sacrifice for this.
If this was bad, I assume some would do it to take down their competitors. But I have a feeling Google will just know if its bot traffic or not.
Have anybody actually got a penalty because of fake traffic?

Do you know anything about using bots to pump up traffic for seo? mean bots that will raise the traffic in a specific way, like region and search terms, etc
Bots or microworkers are typically used, and I've personally seen results with a decent CTR service. However, for me the amount of traffic needed and the outlay it involved did not produce a positive ROI. I may look at it again if I feel there is a case for it.

A course was shared in the member downloads section that might give you more insight on the process: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/stewart-vickers-ctr-manipulation.1613816/

Yeah, bots can be used to fake traffic by location and search terms, but it's risky. Google is smart and can often tell it's fake. It might help for a short time, but real visitors are what really help your site grow safely.
