[How to] Avoid Warnings at BHW - A friendly rules explanation.

Hello BHW. I was a couple of days ago thinking about whether I should do this thread so I decided to investigate a little more about if there was already a similar one and I couldn't find it and since many members daily break the rules —some without knowing it — this is a thread in which you can find the most common reasons why you received a warning and how to avoid them.

First at all if you haven't read the rules
yet —you should — you can follow the link below to familiarize yourself a little more with what I will explain.

Rule #3.1

3.1. Criminal, or tortious activity, including, but not limited to Hacking, Botnets, Identify Theft, Carding (credit card theft or “skimming” ), Pharma stuff (including prescription medications as defined by FDA “Orange book” or any pharmaceutical guide issued by UK authorities such as the British National Formulary), Ponzi schemes, Cash gifting, Cookie Stuffing involving fraud, Spamming techniques, The sale of fake ID's for the purposes of financial fraud, terrorism or drug related activity or any other criminal purpose of any description. Financial fraud, terrorism or drug-related activity or any related criminal activities.

No hacking topics are allowed. So don’t post about your hacker “friend” or about the company that “helped you to recover your bitcoins back” we all know thats a lie and a scam. Of course , mods will issue with a deserved warning for creating such topics here. This is BlackHatWorld but not a hacking community, Don't be fooled by the black theme.


Rule #3.3

3.3 Activity that involves Currency Trades or Exchanges (Example: Exchanging PayPal for any crypto or other monetary assets - including eGold), Buying/Selling CPA accounts, Buying/Selling Social Security Numbers or Identities, CPA offer filling circles, Paying to have CPA offers filled, Requesting fake review comments for other forums' Marketplace sections, Digg / Stumble (or similar) requests and trades, Asking how to make $xxx/day, Any "fake" account for the purposes of defrauding a network or individual, promoting other forums by any means including in your signature, promotion of coaching or training services, creating more than one account on BHW for the purposes of post count inflation or gaming the system.

Easy, is very well explained but yeah do not ask “How to make $100/day” It may take some time for your thread to be reported or discovered, but the end is the same. A warning and thread removed.


Rule #3.4

3.4 Engaging in, either directly or indirectly, or encouraging others to engage in, click-throughs generated in any manner that could be reasonably interpreted as coercive, incentivised, misleading, malicious, or otherwise fraudulent.

Personally, I have never received a warning for this. I think it's because I've never tried to be smarter than the others of wanting to share a link from some site that I try to make believe it's not mine, yeah we know that you're the owner and you just want to gain visibility, don't do it the mods will ban you, seriously.


Rule #3.5

3.5 Engaging in post count inflation by posting excessive amounts of short replies for the sole purpose of inflating your post count. This includes the infamous “thanks for the share.” (If you’d like to say “thanks” to someone for their effort/contribution, make use of the Like button).

Is very clear but to make it more clear yet

[*]Posting the same content more than once

We all know what is this , don’t play with that. Mods won’t play
If you are caught — or reported posting the same content in more than one thread, you will receive a warning. I suggest you to create quality content and that you have consistency on the subject, it is not necessary to talk about baseball in a football thread.
Yes, it is post inflation.

[*]Posting several times in a row instead of using the multi-quote feature

Sometimes we create a thread and we want to answer user by user, which is cool —At least In the lounge since it will not increase your post count — but if you want to respond to messages to each user there is a very interesting and easy to use feature . The multi quote feature .

This video will show you how to use the multiquote feature on BHW.

It will not only save you time, it will keep the forum cleaner and less cluttered and is proper protocol when posting on BHW.

[*]Making very short or unhelpful replies

Just like the below point , if you want to show your interest/appreciation to another user , just use the button Like , do not post just Thanks , mods will remove the post and issue a warning.

[*]Posting short "thanks" messages instead of using the react button
[*]Posting "PM me for details" instead of providing information in the post

[*]Posting short, duplicate "welcome" messages in the Introduction forum

The introduction forum description state this :

Welcome to Black Hat World! Introduce yourself to the community by telling us about yourself and your goals.

With that said, yes, the section also raised its own rules, and here you can read them

3.6 Advertising to, or solicitation of, any member to buy or sell any products or services through the unauthorised or impermissible use of the Site such as DM solicitation. (Note: If you have something you want to sell on this forum, post it in the Marketplace SubForum.

Selling Via PM : Some of us have noticed this reason in some profiles banned in the forum, these users did not have permission to sell and less promote their services Via PM. If your intention is to sell through the forum you need an active membership Premium Member, Jr VIP or MarketPlace Seller

Rule #3.7

3.7 Engaging in content that harasses, degrades, intimidates or is hateful toward an individual or group of individuals on the basis of religion, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, age, or disability.

Don't offend, don't mess with others. Be nice and kind and the others will appreciate you for it.

There are a lot of reasons to get a warning but as i said in the very beginning this is a list of common reasons — i’m not aware of every single warning issued everyday so lets jump to

Rule #14

14. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
If for some reason you are found to be a scammer, dishonest or otherwise providing the forum with dishonesty in regards to lying or exaggerating about products, reviews, testimonials, earnings, or anything in the absolute discretion of BlackHatWorld.com that is scammish in nature, you may find yourself on the "Dispute Resolution" section. If you find yourself or any product with which you are involved in the "Dispute Resolution" and wish to redeem yourself and be removed, you must contact an Administrator or Moderator and fully explain your version of events. Yes , it is true. I’ve got warnings for replying in DP threads. If you want to share your opinion about a thread in such section you may contact the moderator , or just wait this message shows up when the thread is marked as resolved.

Dispute Summary

The accused has been permanently banned from Black Hat World for failing to resolve this dispute.

The dispute thread will remain live and is now open to commentary as rule 4 is no longer enforced in this thread.

I was going to wait to put it in the change log until I was completely done this week, but I might as well leak it early.

I'm updating the text of all the warnings.

NOTHING IS CHANGING ABOUT HOW THE WARNINGS WORK. @SettingSun77 and I are just updating the text to 2025 since I think one still mentioned MySpace and another ICQ.

The first one was updated was Post Count Inflation. If you're one of those that pushes it and gets one of those regularly you'll likely noticed some additional helpful links and some updated text and examples.

Today these will go live:

- Non-English
- Sales Violation
- Posting in Incorrect Subforum
- Direct message
- Discussion of prohibited content
- Abuse of Staff member
- Inappropriate behaviour

There are some others, much, much rarer that need updating that aren't worth messaging here.

Again, only updating the text and adding helpful links and examples. Not changing how they work or the overall meaning/intent.

This made me remember how smart I tried to be trying to sell without being caught and yes, they caught me. And IDK how the heck but was the same guy, in fact
