It's my hope that forum members such as yourselves read the rules and see the value of better engagement with newbie members without the moderation team having to use a stick to force it. I'm not going to tell you it's OK to continue on, you will have to decide that for yourself. However, there also isn't a specific "violated intro rules" warning right now either. I can't promise there won't be in the future but if there is, I'm not out to blindside anyone with it.

It seems strange to put rules around how we should welcome someone to the forum.

I have however seen accounts farming posts by posting on introduction threads. Maybe a better idea would be make posts on introduction threads not count towards your post total
