People talk a lot about the “hook” in the first few seconds of the video, and yes I agree people have the attention span of barely anything.

But here are some tips that can be done better, and what you might be doing wrong.

  • Running ads with SEXY stuff in there, it can work for some niches and can work for a few days but sooner or later your pixel is going to adjust to random ass people that just click because it’s sexy without ever having the attention to take action.

The problem here comes when you are optimising for leads; the leads might come, but the quality is going to be low and even lower after a while.

As FB also takes clicks into consideration.

A few days later, your pixel is ruined.

What to do instead? (In this case)

Test the same stuff on Purchase instead of Leads, and your results should be better.

However, I would advise that if you have done the above with Lead purpose, get a new pixel and turn your ads into the intent they are used for, so instead of just hot girls and running dating, add more to it and get rid of the girls and make it more realistic.

Example 02.

If you are running Casino applications on Google or IOS (Apple) make sure to use the Purchase event; running installs will once more ruin your pixel very fast, especially if you hype up the game too much in your videos.

What you can also do instead, make it VERY clear that “money” is involved, that people have to be of a certain age so you avoid the losers that just think it’s a fun game to play.

This is going to feed your pixel with the right people.

Running META ads isn’t just about the highest CTR and getting the lowest CPCs anymore, that shit is long gone, so it has to be a mix of both.

Real Test Example:

I was running casino ads with sexy bitches on LEAD mode, it worked in the first days but the pixel got absolute retarded because eventually it said, Waddup we see these horny idiots generating you some amazing leads, let’s focus the campaign on them and BOOM, pixel ruined.

How did I kinda fix it?

Still running with bitches but on Purchase mode, did better lasted longer.

How did I finally really fix it?

Running on Purchase and no more bitches and no more over hyping the “casino games” but instead just focus in real gameplay, the actual bonus they get and while this took a lot longer to become profitable, if you got your pixel backed up it’s now filled with quality people that you can make look a like audiences from and passing the pixel to your other accounts so you don’t have to take those losses anymore.

Hope this helped someone, and would love you take on the meta pixel, your game plans and how you twist and turn that little fucker that makes or breaks your campaign.

I just felt like mentioning it, as AI comments and topics here have been overkill.

Enjoy your weekend!

Also over hyping the game in ads can attract users who install the app out of curiosity, but will not engage further

Facts bro, a trash pixel will haunt your whole BM like a ghost.

The most basic thing everyone should know about pixels is that if you manage it properly for a long time, it will be the best tool to help you reach whatever you want. What is the properly way to do manage it? Don't use it for different product/service... it will f* up the audiences. Once you use it for this product/service, use it for only that product/service.

This article is so much useful. It will help me a lot to upgrade my FB manager to save time and efforts.

I used to vvapaspha like you shared, The data on the jump ad is confused

Thanks for sharing the article and writing very well and wonderfully

Thanks for sharing. Running conversions is really hard. Accurate event tracking will affect the results.

In my opinion it is not a superficial issue, the first few strings of the video will decide whether the customer will watch your next video or not, buy the product or not, in my opinion the hook is still a must have element and less has more advantages than disadvantages.

Thank you for sharing your article, it is very good and useful. I hope you have more articles. I will follow you.

Many things at stake here - your landing page, visuals you used, pixel optimization, offer. Sometimes the algo can just hit, and attributing everything to the optimization event change can be a miss. However, I do agree that you should optimize towards the event you actually want to achieve, as we have tested and reached this conclusion many times: Meta AI will bring you what you ask them. If you ask for traffic, sure, it will give you LOTS of cheap traffic, but it will be really low quality non-converting traffic.

Very good and useful article, keep it up. Hope you will continue to develop similar articles.
