I am targeting viewers in another country and always upload to tiktok through capcut but this time I uploaded direct from the camera roll and my video has no views. This has happened before on my regular account. Does anyone know if tiktok blocks videos that are uploaded through ios camera roll?. I don’t appear to have been shadowbanned as still getting views and likes on other videos. I have made the video private but should I just delete it and make changes and repost through capcut?
TikTok doesn’t block videos uploaded from the iOS camera roll, but uploading behavior and metadata changes can sometimes trigger lower reach. Here’s what might be happening:
Possible Reasons Your Video Has No Views
IP & Location Mismatch – If you're targeting another country but uploaded directly from your phone (without a VPN or region-specific setup), TikTok might limit its reach.
Metadata Differences – CapCut embeds editing data that can help with TikTok's algorithm, whereas direct uploads may lack this data, leading to lower initial reach.
Potential Processing Delay – Sometimes, videos take longer to be reviewed and pushed to the "For You" page, especially if there's anything TikTok’s AI flags for review.
Shadow Delay (Not a Full Shadowban) – Even if you're getting views on other videos, some individual videos can be delayed or restricted if TikTok detects something unusual (background music, text, or even the file metadata).
How to Fix It
Try Re-uploading via CapCut – Since CapCut works well for you, re-export and upload from CapCut instead.
Use a VPN (if targeting another country) – Ensure TikTok sees you as being in the target country.
Wait a Few Hours – Sometimes videos take time to get indexed.
Delete & Re-upload – If no views appear after 6-12 hours, delete and re-upload.
If this happens often, stick to your usual upload method (CapCut) for consistency.
