[RULES] Posting in Hire A Freelancer

I have a doubt regarding this thread where the OP is asking for sites with prices via PM:

https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/want-all-these-sites-for-gp.1696339/#post-19019348

I have already sent a PM with the price information. Can I still leave a message without my contact details, such as:

"As per your request, I have PM'd you the sites with samples. Please take a look and let me know if you're interested."

Would this be acceptable?

Thanks for the clarification!

Yes, you're still welcome to leave a message for the OP in their thread! Just don't leave "interested" or some other spammy message as that will get deleted as post count spam. However, your message is perfectly fine.

We can create our own template while replying to HAF threads?

What you gave is just an example of how the reply should be, right?

Small sentence replies like PM sent won't work from now on.

one of the worst rule in bhw is people should not able to put contact details in the WTB or WTH , it will never come into following anyway .

just check one sample thread :

https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/looking-for-fr-french-publications-on-high-traffic-media-sites-150k-ahrefs-traffic-10-articles-recurring.1696673/#post-19030815

Why this weird rule ? i will follow anyway .

I suggest you guys change it before the forum goes dead just like other internet marketing forums went.

I cleaned up that thread and removed any posts that were not compliant and also left a note in there for all the sellers to read.
Appreciate your actions , there are still 2 at same thread just above your reply .

well , that was one thread..

Thanks for your time , Boss !

So you have 2 options. Either get yourself a marketplace thread selling your services and then post the link, you can have your contact info there. OR you can DM the OP with your contact info.

This means that we're making it fair for everyone, stopping spamfest and creating contact on the board for disputes if it comes to it. So 3 birds, one stone.
But if i don't have specific Thread about the buyer requirements but still I can provide this service. Like this post https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/i...s-and-1k-verified-trustpilot-reviews.1696575/ I did post here with the pricing but can't add the client's website I worked for because It is not allowed from clients to show their website to anyone and also I didn't add my contact info. Then why is my post get removed. While others peoples added their contact info and still their comments are not removed.

And if I forgot to mention the post link In DM can my post be removed?

I've undeleted the post. Again, we're still working through some glitches in the community team.

You can always DM your portfolio. Also, it's on you to remember to provide the link to OP's HAF thread. If you forget and your DM is reported, it could get a warning for unsolicited message.

Hello everyone,

Please be aware that the Hire a Freelancer rules have been completely overhauled. It is expected that everyone takes a look, reads it and adjusts their posting behaviour.

https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/rules-posting-in-hire-a-freelancer.951769/

Hi, we have a few doubts regarding different scenarios with the new rule.

Scenario 1: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/looking-for-a-wordpress-expert-to-build-a-multi-step-form.1696119/ this OP has given the budget and his requirement is Website related. So it's under our Marketplace sales thread website related. So hopefully we can add our Marketplace sales thread link and ask to check our contact details for this.

Example Message:
We’re confident we can help you with WP Multi-Step Form development. We have 10+ years of experience in Website Development.

Once the budget and timeline are confirmed, we can start. Please check your DMs to discuss further.

Also, feel free to check my marketplace thread:
https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/2...to-wordpress-website-20-usd-per-page.1675524/

Scenario 2: If another OP is looking for Instagram Followers Scraping we provide that service but we don't have a Marketplace sales thread for that, in this scenario can we share any other service Marketplace sales thread link and provide the contact details?

Example Message:
We’re confident we can help you with Instagram Followers Scraping. We have 10+ years of experience in Website Development.

Once the budget and timeline are confirmed, we can start. Please check your DMs to discuss further.

Also, feel free to check my marketplace thread:

Scenario 3: Can we add special symbols to our message?
Example Message:
≽ > Check our Sales Thread < ≼

Kindly let us know if this message suits you well. If any issue please let us know.

I'm going to ELI5 here:

IF the person (OP) who creates a thread needing a freelancer (a person offering a specialized service) and you (the freelancer) offer that service you can:

- give them details about what you can provide and why you're the best freelancer for the job
- DM them your contact information
- Post your marketplace thread RELATED to the service they're needing

This is an AND statement. Technically, you can do all 3 things. Alternatively, you can only do one of the things. What I'm specifically looking for is:

1. engagement with the OP
2. the OP can get details about what each freelancer can offer
3. that everyone involved is creating a papertrail to help in case of a dispute (which we ofc hope never happens, but we're prepared for it)

So no, you may not:

- post your contact details in the thread in any way, shape or form (signatures excluded - but remember, if people find their way to you via your signature this is NOT proof for a dispute)
- post marketplace threads for other services
- just copy something and paste it in every thread that's been created in the past hour, day, week, month that's related to the service you're offering in one go
- post "interested" as that is considered post count spam and will get you that specific warning
- whatever else that I haven't specifically stated that you guys can come up with that does not fall into point 1, 2 or 3 above

Are we allowed to tag a supplier we think can provide the service OP requires or do "recommenders" need to describe their experience with a seller and how it relates to OP's request as well?

I don't have any issues with this as long as it's not abused.

Thanks for this, but there are like 13 threads there each with a lot of replies. Would be helpful to get a ballpark figure on the maximum age of a post that can still accept replies - a week? - 2 weeks? Thanks again.
There was some staff discussion about this... let me see if I can find the results of that discussion.

Please clear one thing, can i reply to Google review thread in HAF if i don't have marketplace thread of google reviews?

With this new format, we are going to need larger message boxes, even if we have to pay for extra message box size - optionally. Secondly, still waiting on clarification on maximum age of HAF, WTB posts that can receive replies @BassTrackerBoats . Thanks

I want to clarify that can we add Our signature like Telegram, Skype, Email with linked our Social platforms? Is it also against to rules?
