Skype was a game-changer back in the day, but I guess it was only a matter of time with Teams taking over. Feels a bit nostalgic, though.

Skype died a long time ago. They took too long to announce burial date.

This was indeed going to come someday as the users for skype dropped significantly

I hope it isn't true because I use Skype the most for my projects and it will be difficult to work without Skype.

I'm sure most people didn't use it anyway. Now there are many platforms like discord, telegram and more. You can even get your work done through Google chat.
