Fast paced? McDonalds people move S-L-O-W with their friggen ketchup machines & boxed sandwiches. Not to mention they require like twice the staff in order to know what their doing.
Go for BK. It's nice sometimes to take on 5 people's jobs because nobody really cares how badly your doing it as long as your doing it. Plus it's extremely easy to make a little extra cash for that cash draw in the ones that only have one window.
- Collect their money and do the math in your head for change. The cash draw just sits on the counter separate from the register, so the machine doesn't know you collected any money yet. The register doesn't know or care if those are the people actually at the window.
- Recall & modify (hit the "add to order" button) the orders when everyones gone like they changed something at the window (start deleting drinks, they don't show up in the kitchen) and pocket the difference.
- Make sure you can get to the printers that print out the tickets for the people bagging the sandwiches before they get to them. Then have a few drinks laying around so you can say "oh, that's the soda they didn't want" if you get caught.
The only part that sucks is you have to cycle though all of the orders on the machine if someone gives you a credit card which takes forever.
I worked there for about a year and a half and brought home +$40 or $50 every day I got to work drive-thu. Best paying job I ever had..

They wanted to make me a manager.
