I'm fucked :*(

I just tried posting a comment on a blog and it wouldn't let saying that it detected spam... The comment was really nice and long and only included my URL in the website portion of the comment. Does this mean I was blacklisted for spam? Could this be the possible reason for such drops in rankings?

Go login to the honeypot and check your site. You will know whats going on from there.

I strongly doubt it! I think G's updating "something" in its engine...and based on experience it has got different Data Centers DC's [with different cached samples of ur site - just speculation though] so while some are updating, others will be used to rank you [and those ones may be lagging when it comes to the "real you"]...Again, this was the only conclusion I could come to...[again, this is just a guess, most of all the fings we hear abt "G" have to do with speculations]

Just relax, a multi-billion Dollar company has more things to tackle than one "wannabe" spam comment :)! Often times than none, when ur due for promotion it kicks u back n' forth. Take a chill-pill and get ready to rumble;)!

What doesnt kill you, makes you stronger. Forget about the site for a while and see what happens in a few weeks/months as it may come back. Learn from it (ie diversify) and move on with some new niches and sites. No one said the road to riches would be easy (apart from the IM gurus trying to sell you shit). Next time you find a profitable money maker, keep in mind that it wont last forever and keep on hustling. It may not seem like it at the moment, but things like this will actually benefit you in the long term. This is your wake up call!

You are right.. it's called Caffeine.. the update finished on June 8... it appeared to have been running since January this year and they finally got finished applying all the updates.

However, the odds might not be good for him recovering if he doesn't make some very specific changes to his site. People have lost positions for good in the new google and you can't just hope and think it will bounce back by some wishful thinking. This update was a MAJOR change over the way google used to operate. You have to toss a LOT of what you used to think worked.

I have already left a link to the answer that will help the OP recover his position twice now in this thread. No point leaving it a third time.

Fast paced? McDonalds people move S-L-O-W with their friggen ketchup machines & boxed sandwiches. Not to mention they require like twice the staff in order to know what their doing.

Go for BK. It's nice sometimes to take on 5 people's jobs because nobody really cares how badly your doing it as long as your doing it. Plus it's extremely easy to make a little extra cash for that cash draw in the ones that only have one window.

  1. Collect their money and do the math in your head for change. The cash draw just sits on the counter separate from the register, so the machine doesn't know you collected any money yet. The register doesn't know or care if those are the people actually at the window.
  2. Recall & modify (hit the "add to order" button) the orders when everyones gone like they changed something at the window (start deleting drinks, they don't show up in the kitchen) and pocket the difference.
  3. Make sure you can get to the printers that print out the tickets for the people bagging the sandwiches before they get to them. Then have a few drinks laying around so you can say "oh, that's the soda they didn't want" if you get caught.
The only part that sucks is you have to cycle though all of the orders on the machine if someone gives you a credit card which takes forever.

I worked there for about a year and a half and brought home +$40 or $50 every day I got to work drive-thu. Best paying job I ever had.. :D They wanted to make me a manager.

That doesn't exactly sound inspiring at all.

Make sure you check G's Webmaster tools to see if it shows you what might be wrong. Here's some of the things that have hit my sites and pushed them down:
1. Spam links injected by hackers - make sure you check g's web tools to see what google sees as I had one that only showed the spam links to the search bots
2. SEO Booster Pro made it look like I was keyword stuffing
3. Global translator - produced a huge number of page not found errors and pissed of the Google by checking translations too much.
4. Check google keyword tool for your site and individual pages to make sure it is not confused about your keywords.
5. If you know what page rank sculpting is make sure you have the right internal link structure communicating the right keywords for pages.
6. Page titles/description changed/not showing up
7. Duplicate content - use copyscape to see if someone is copying your content, if so send them an email telling them to take it down.
8. if they are hijacking your rss, make sure it only shows exerpts and has links back to your pages
9. check to see if your competition has out linked you/out keyword density you/or out done you on other seo drivers. Use something like Keyword Elite to evaluate
10. Make sure you don't have any links to things google does not like and Add links to authority sites like wikipedia. Add new and deeper content to you posts.

Hope you find a solution.

Wow... FML again! It was 3rd for few days and now its back on page 33! WTF is this? The only thing I did both times is add an article to hubpages, could this be the reason?

Never stick to one source of income. In fact, never stick to one method of generating money. Always have a few methods spread over a number of sites/affiliate companies. With IM things just go wrong now and then and there is nothing you can do about it.

Try and flip that website for 10 months the revenue or something before it's too late and move on.

I know, its not my only income, but it was a BIG part. The weird thing is that I use the same methods I used on this site on my other sites and they are still ranking fine. \knocks on wood

Watch in another week you will be back to normal. Sometimes this happens and it goes up and down. Be strong :)

try other traffic sources - twitter, for instance. time to bitchslap Gaggle out of the equation

Yes but depending upon how he monetizes, Google may be the only profitable method. If he's earning money via adsense for example, buying advertisements isn't going to perform very well.
