That's not very fair to say, insulting his intelligence. He created the first ever modern black market, he was an innovator, a pioneer, learning things as he went, making mistakes, sure. But everyone would. Also he was a genuinelly good guy in my opinion. If you read up on how they caught him, it's actually one of the most shady tactics I've ever heard of. They got a female and male FBI agent to mock fight and Ross came to the womans aid like a decent/brave person would, they snatched his device while he was doing so. They took advantage of his good will.

His sentence was crazy. He had the unfortunate luck of being the first one to ever been committed for such a crime so they wanted to present him as an example. Nevertheless this whole court case was not handled correctly. Not to mention the corrupt agents that were pocketing money from this case themselves (1 DEA agent for extortion, money laundering and fraud. 1 Secret Service Agent for money laundering. 2 Key advisors in the case.)

Yeah no such thing as "justice"

just to set a precedent and he got caught up in it. ))

I've seen plenty of those in my life,))) people get sent to jail for crimes that are not even crimes, but since crowd demands it they end up there.

Also, he did wrong no doubt. But life sentence is wild)))
