I’m thrilled to be part of this vibrant community! I’ve been looking for a space like this after leaving another forum that, unfortunately, has lost its energy over time. It’s refreshing to see so much activity and engagement here.

A little about me: I’ve been in e-commerce for the past 10 years, primarily selling on Amazon and doing a lot with Facebook ads. I’m happy to share some insights hoping it will be helpful to someone here.

One area I’m particularly excited about is combining AI, Amazon, and mobile applications to create a sustainable income. It’s a unique approach that has worked well for me, and I believe it could be valuable for others too—especially since it’s not widely adopted yet.

Here’s a quick overview:

Physical Information Products
Physical information products such as guides, planners, cards, kits, etc., are hot sellers on Amazon. You just have to find a high-demand micro-niche. People love tangible items they can hold, flip through, and use in their daily lives. But what if you could offer even more value and turn a one-time buyer into a repeat customer?

Mobile Apps
Pairing a product with a companion app adds extra value. For example, including a QR code with the product can lead customers to download an app that offers tutorials, updates, or even a digital version of the product.

How it works:

Present the app as more tutorials on how to use your product or even as a digital version of the product they just bought. By simply placing a QR code on your product invites customers to download the app.

This simple addition does two critical things:

Builds Your Customer List: Each app download collects valuable customer data, giving you direct access to your buyers. No more relying solely on Amazon to communicate with your customers.

The Income Multiplier: $1/Week Subscription
The app will boost your sales by creating a deeper connection with your audience, encouraging repeat purchases, and even upselling other products. Your app can offer premium features for just $1 a week. It’s a no-brainer price point for most customers, but it adds up fast. Think about how these numbers add up, these are just hypothetical figures.

1,000 subscribers = $48,000 a year in recurring revenue.
3000 subscribers = $144,000 a year
10,000 subscribers = $480,000 a year.

And that’s just from the app. Combine this with your Amazon sales, and you’ve built a multi-income stream business that keeps growing.

Why Does This Work So Well?

Customer Engagement: The app keeps your brand top of mind.
Increased Value: Customers feel like they’re getting more than just a physical product.
Passive Income: Recurring app subscriptions create a steady income stream with minimal effort.

A Summary of How to Launch This

1. Use AI to Generate and Develop the Products
AI tools can streamline the process of creating physical information products by generating ideas, designing layouts, and even producing content. Start by identifying a niche with high demand—AI can help with keyword research and trend analysis to uncover what customers are searching for. Once you’ve chosen your niche, use AI platforms to draft content for guides, planners, or kits. For example, AI can generate templates, write step-by-step instructions, or even design graphics. This reduces the time and effort needed to develop high-quality products that resonate with your target audience.

2. Create a Mobile App as a Digital Companion
Before launching the physical product, create a mobile app that serves as its digital counterpart. This app can offer a digital version of the product, tutorials, or exclusive content to enhance the user experience. Use AI tools to help design the app, develop features, and create engaging content. Once the app is ready, include a QR code on your physical product’s packaging to direct buyers to download it. To monetize further, add premium features to the app, such as bonus content, advanced tutorials, or customization options, and offer these as a low-cost subscription (e.g., $1 per week).

3. Launch the Products on Amazon and Promote Them
Once your physical product and companion app are ready, list the product on Amazon. Use optimized product titles, descriptions, and images to attract buyers. Promote the listing through Amazon PPC campaigns, social media ads, and influencer partnerships to drive traffic. As customers purchase your product, many will scan the QR code to download the app, giving you a direct line to engage with them. This not only builds your customer list but also generates recurring income through app subscriptions. Over time, the combination of Amazon sales and app revenue creates a powerful, scalable business model.

I hope this helps someone.

Cheers!

Quite Interesting. What if we sell a digital product? Will this method still work?
Digital product like a ebook?

BTW, great share op, waiting for more details, I will not do Amazon in near future, but I believe I can learn some idea from this too

Combining AI, Amazon, and mobile apps is definitely the future of e-commerce. I really like how you're blending physical products with digital value through mobile apps, it creates an excellent way to build customer loyalty and boost recurring revenue. The $1/week subscription model is super appealing for customers, and the data collection is a game changer for engaging your audience long-term. Nice write up. Are you doing this personally or it is just an idea.

The method will not work because the digital products like kindle books have very low profit margin. Physical products in Amazon are 20 times more profitable than digital products and that is why we package information as physical products.

Not ebooks, but infirmation products packaged as physical products. For example, kindle ebooks have very low profit margin in Amazon. Physical products in Amazon are 20 times more profitable than digital products and that is why we package information as physical products.

Yes the future of ecommerce. Most of the tools I use are free or very affordable.

Great idea, but if you have a product that requires a subscription to unlock certain features, you might get a lot of negative reviews
No, it does not require unlocking at all. The product must be ready to use after unboxing.
