$1 Million+ a Year on Etsy: My 7-Year Journey of Success [AMA]!

I see bro, thank you for answering
Unfortunately I'm from an unsupported country, I'd need to use a stealth ID or someone's else doc :(
Another barrier to deal with...wish you the best for your journey
You can open an LLC from USA and you can start selling on etsy it cost like 500-700 USD to open LLC, there is always a solution for every problem you might face in etsy :)
I am interested in this but i have a few questions.

1. Is there anywhere to find services like add to cart and reviews?

2. Would paid reviews even work as im sure you have to actually purchase the product to be able to leave a review.

3. What type of product would you recommend on Etsy. Not the exact product but for example I had a digital product in mind... do you think this could work?

I had some traction on Etsy previously selling dupes which took off with no effort as they were so sought after... also got banned very quickly so wasn't that great of an idea lol
1. You can find the review services with a little research on google most of them doing this good and proper, just ask them about their operation if they are doing it like i will mention in my second Text its fine to use, but i can't say this for add to cart services there is not much people doing it as a service right now and most of them using bots, so it wont help anything if bots are included and it will cause a problem.

2. Here’s how the review process works: The person providing this service has buyer accounts in the U.S., which are fully registered under real individuals and real addresses. These accounts are accessed from within the U.S., lets say our products is a pair of shoes. The buyer searches for "shoes" in the search bar and browses through the products for about 20–30 minutes, adding other sellers shoes to their favorites or cart like a genuine customer would. During this time, they also find and interact with our product by adding it to their cart and favorites. After a few hours, they return to the cart and purchase our product. This process is designed entirely to engage with Etsy’s algorithm. This product was uploaded just 2 days ago, viewed by around 50 people and then purchased organically by a real customer. A review is posted 3–4 days later, and this boosts both the product and the shop's visibility. With this approach, the product is now seen as successful by the algorithm and starts appearing on the front pages. After that, success depends on factors within your control, such as your product's price, photos, title, shipping times, and overall presentation.

3. If you don't have much money or don’t have much time, I recommend focusing on digital products. For physical products, I suggest researching customizable items.

Note: If there’s interest, I can write a detailed explanation of the strategy I use for reviews and how I optimize it to influence the algorithm effectively. :)
What service do you use to do your fake buys?
Like i said before in my text im not working with a company for this but there is a few people doing this in Freelancer forums, like fiverr and upwork.
hi, congratulations for your work I have a question: you sell only in your European country or you sell worldwide?
Im based in europa but im selling worldwide on etsy.
The digital products you mentioned sound super interesting! Do you mind sharing how you go about choosing or creating high-demand ones? I’d love to hear your thoughts.:)
I can find high demanding products with a little market research because of my experience on this platform but you can use websites like e-rank to find it if you have no idea, also the best part about selling digital products is you can just purchase your competitors listing to check it and make it better to sell, after that you just have to bring traffic to your listing with seo, etsy ads and other methods that i use. I mentioned in my previous text.
What do you recommend about buying Etsy accounts?
I did bought a few pages from different sellers one of them is very big seller in one forum, but none of them are working maybe you can just sell 1-2 products without getting suspended if you are lucky enough, or maybe i couldnt find any reliable etsy account seller :)

we have a few methods to open pages but its getting harder and harder each day so we are just using the pages in
our stock

First of all I'm sorry for late reply i was busy, and Thank you so much for your interest, the time you took, and the kind words in your writing!

Let me share a few critical points about effectively performing fake sales. Etsy doesn’t recognize your product through its photos but by the keywords and SEO you use. Every word has a value in Etsy’s algorithm. For example, if you use the SEO for “wooden table” and sell a product for $5, Etsy won’t place your product alongside others listed for $500 or $1000 under the same SEO. and Etsy won’t pit your product against them. Instead, it excludes you from the algorithm. This happens because, in the algorithm’s eyes, the average value for wooden tables is $500, but your product is listed for $5. This suggests either your product doesn’t meet the standard of a $500 table, or there’s an issue with your SEO. Every keyword has a minimum value. A friend of mine, who specializes in this, uses softwares to determine the optimal price for the product I’ll sell through fake sales. For instance, if the minimum price for a keyword is $100, I set my product at $150. Then I start the process, having my friend purchase the product. About 3–5 days later, they leave a review with a 5 star rating, custom comments, and photos. Here’s another scenario commonly seen among sellers who don’t understand the algorithm: They list the expensive valued product for $5 and perform fake sales. This approach doesn’t have a significant impact on the algorithm. At most, it might result in a 5-star review and a minor boost, but that’s all.

Here’s the costs for one fake sale:

• $10 service fee.

• I send the product’s price (e.g., $150) to the buyer.

• Once the purchase is made, Etsy take his fee, approximately 15% in fees.

This means each fake sale costs me roughly $20–25 (for a product valued between $750 and $1000).

I recommend you opening two accounts, one from the USA and one from the UK. If you’re a beginner, start with the UK, then move to the USA acocunt. US accounts are generally perceived as more reliable and healthy by Etsy, although the difference isn’t drastic. I currently live in Europe and manage my business from here. My products are manufactured and shipped from Poland, Thailand, and Turkey, each country that i work is focusing on specific items. This allows me to maintain a broad product range within the same category.

Quick note: No, you don’t have to ship the products from the country you're living or your account is located, As long as you mention these details on your Etsy account and include the relevant information in your shop, it’s perfectly fine.

The manufacturers I work with only produce and ship the products; they don’t have Etsy accounts, except for one in Turkey. Each operates independently, producing different items. For example, my manufacturer in Poland makes product X, while the one in Thailand makes product Y. All are part of a diverse product range I’ve developed through trial and error.

For instance, in 2018, I sold clothing and achieved significant results. However, due to mistakes I made, my account was suspended, and I shifted to other products. Later, I discovered wooden climbing walls for cats, which sold well. I then pivoted to products appealing to a broader audience. By 2019, I found variations of my winning product. Initially, I sold designs ı found from other sellers with slight modifications, but years of experience and effort allowed me to grow in this category for over 5 years.

In addition to physical products, I’ve sold a large number of digital listings. While I no longer focus on digital products, I know people who still do and earn substantial passive income. However, succeeding on Etsy isn’t as simple as listing products traditionally. Strategies like fake sales, fake reviews, add-to-cart services, and SEO works are critical for standing out. These methods can put you ahead of 80% of your competitors, most of whom follow traditional methods like listing products and waiting or relying solely on Etsy Ads.

The $150K I mentioned earlier is pure profit, not just Q4 earnings. However, during Q4, my sales increase by 1.5–2X. My highest-ticket item was $4500, but due to long production times and shipping issues, I stopped selling it.

I completely agree with your point about courses. They’re generally unhelpful because business isn’t something you can learn solely through reading, watching, or listening. While courses can help you build foundational knowledge, success ultimately comes from experience, hard work, learning from mistakes, and developing effective methods and strategies.

Finally, I’ve never posted or commented in forums before. I’ve learned very useful topics with details on BHW, and I’ve been following it for a long time. There are really valuable posts on this forum, various and interesting forum threads, and the people here are truly those who want to learn, pursue, and strive, not stuck in simple ethics or a slave mentality, but visionaries. I noticed a gap in Etsy-related discussions on this forum, so I decided to create a post and fill that gap. I believe this "AMA" will help people.

Thank you again for your kind w
ords. I hope my insights have been helpful! :)
I’ve done nearly a little over a million in revenue on Etsy from the earliest days until old sellers were randomly punished and saw their sales go to basically zero. I’ve never seen anything more awful than the changes they’ve made over the past few years. Between the clear favorites and distributing the wealth to low quality sellers, it’s not a place to build a stable, long-term business. Not to mention they’re clearly having cash flow or financial issues as they still hold and collect interest on YOUR money even if you have 10,000 reviews with a 4.9 average.

The ad system is atrocious. The counterfeiting was and still is rampant. Drop shipped junk left and right masquerading as quality products.

I disagree with your point on the photos. With the generative search changes they started making a few years back: they’re absolutely using photos as part of the search process. If you run your product through Google Lens and something similar or identical doesn’t come up: your photos aren’t good and you won’t be found in Etsy search for that product.

With the amount of effort it takes to constantly adapt to Etsys algo changes, it’s better to export your customer list and bring them onto your own store.

I would never, ever rely on Etsy as my sole revenue stream again. Their CEO destroyed eBay and it took them a decade to recover and he’s doing the same at Etsy. Good to get started with Ecommerce and you seem to have found a good niche. People here are willing to put in the work and there’s a hundred other things I’d recommend someone spend their time on than playing the Etsy lottery.

My family owns a local clothing factory, and I’m exploring the idea of selling our products on Etsy. Do you have any tips or advice on how to get started effectively?
I’d greatly appreciate your insights—thank you!

You should definetly try Etsy, and shopify, i would recommend you to list product every day, and list 10 products when you opened your page, after that dont miss any day just list 1-2 products daily and do fake reviews and fake sales from someone trusted and proffiesonal after that you can try Etsy ads for your budget like daily 5-10 USD

I dıd both but im more fan of dropship, but im not doing it with aliexpress or other cheap and useless dropshiping ways, i have people that i work with for my products in poland, thailand and turkey, all of my products are made to order sometimes im keeping inventory for Q4 (last quarter of the year most selling season for my products)

Most healthy way to do this is opening LLC in USA, after that you can recieve the payments to your bank account in USA, you will manage the account with anti detect browser and proxy (you'll be safe)
I have an LLC in the US, but how did you set up the account before switching it to business?

Great journey thanks for sharing man

Thank you so much for your valuable advice and thoughtful response! I’ve looked into Etsy’s policy, and unfortunately, my country isn’t supported. I’m currently considering Shopify, Amazon, and eBay instead. Could you share some insights or strategies for these platforms? Your expertise would be greatly appreciated!

Very good question, if you dont want to spend money to ads i recommend you to move with digital products,

I'm currently selling physical products, but I also have some high-demand digital products available. However, I don't have any extra accounts to sell them on at the moment, and I won't be opening any new accounts for several months due to the increasing difficulty of creating stealth accounts. While I can't sell them, I can give you this product (for free) you can still make a couple thousands from it i guess, if you want to give it a try let me know. :)
Hi bro, i am selling digital products on etsy, i design by hand and the speed is quite slow, about 5-6 products a day, can you share your digital products for my reference? thanks and wish you continue to make more money with etsy

How should I choose a niche that will perform well on Etsy?:weep:

You should check the number of orders sold in a niche, the advice is to track the number of orders from at least 5-10 stores in the same niche. If they are selling well, you can consider entering that niche

You can ise proxy and anti detect browsers ör you can also ise VDS based in your LLC country after that just open the page.

I would like to help you with this but unfortuneltly im just selling on Etsy right now.

This information is GOLD! and has helped me a lot - thank you!

I've been fairly successful on Etsy but recently my rankings on my most popular products took a hit and I had no idea why. A while back I lowered my prices thinking it would help my sales but it never dawned on me that lowering my prices too much would affect my rankings. So glad I stumbled on this post by OP

I'm using Etsy ads, fake but organic add to carts (no bots) and fake purchases with reviews (all from Real customers buying organic) also using pinterest to increase traffic.
By ''using pinterest to increase traffic'' - you are posting photo there by yourself? Or you are using bloggers, influencers?

Hey!

Thanks for sharing. Just wanted to know a few things.

1. What specific topics or aspects of selling on Etsy does the author feel confident discussing?
2. How much time does the author dedicate daily to answering questions on the forum?

Cheers!
