Hi, I have some money on a permanently limited PayPal account and 180 days have passed and I got an email that I can withdraw funds now

But the PayPal account is not using my real name, so my question is how do I withdraw it?

Can I add my bank account and transfer the money even if the names dont match? Or there is some other way

Please do let me know, thanks!

Each bank reacts differently to the difference in names receiver. Some immediately reject and refund to Paypal, while others do not pay attention and successfully credit the withdrawal. It doesn't depend on Paypal, it depends on the bank.

I usually use one method that allows me to send money with the necessary recipient details(Surname name).

Can you tell me more details about it?

Thanks in advance

Why don't you try using money exchange platforms like BestChange dot com?

Почему бы вам не попробовать использовать платформы обмена денег, такие как BestChange dot com?
мaybe because after 180 days possible withdrawal to bank account or card?

Due to a name mismatch, there is a possibility of rejection from the bank's end.
I know it. But there are ways to change the name to match the one at the bank.

What about Payoneer? Did someone try it out and succeeded even tho it's not the same name

Paypal didn't want to link Payoneer bank account

To withdraw your funds, you'll need to update your PayPal account with your real name by providing ID, as the names must match for transfers. If you run into issues, contact PayPal support to sort it out.

it depends on your bank or card but for paypal they won't care if it's for once

Paypal does not care about the name of the recipient, the one that may ask you for information is the receiving bank, in my case with Payoneer for 3 or 5 transfers nothing happened, but then they withheld a payment because it was from a company account ...it was difficult to explain to them that it was my account... after several days and calls I got it

Paypal can be annoying sometimes :weep:

What country is based in the paypal account?

Names really not needed if it is in asian countries. I had experience using different name and bank account number and funds got successfully withdrawn.
I tried withdrawing it but I keep seeing "Something went wrong"...

did you tried contacting support?
contact them and say that you are getting error.

You might run into issues adding a bank account if the names don’t match since PayPal typically checks that. One workaround could be using a virtual bank account (VBA) or a Payoneer account, as they’re often less strict about name mismatches. Alternatively, consider linking a trusted friend's or family member's account and withdrawing through them. Just proceed with caution and make sure everything is secure
