I have a digital course that I'm trying to sell online.

I'm using Facebook ads as my source of traffic, in which I offer a lead magnet (freebie)

The ad creative sends people to join my Skool group, inside it they can get their lead magnet.

Problem is, it seems that I'm attracting people with no money or no job, that are poor and are just starting out.

My aim and ideal customer is the one that's already making money and looking to scale.

Can anybody tell me if there is some kind of a way to filter in an adset for example to get to my target audience?

It's the leads that literally kept saying it themselves, whenever they were asked if they'd like to check the offer, they said yes, and when presented with the offer, they say that they are interested in the offer but they have no money to buy it, even for a $10 product.

can you make a free course inside your school that will give the most value you can give ?
like (example); make your first 100$, make your first 1000$, like make 1000$ every month
start small and deliver results, give all the valued info you have that resolve real problems

this gives authority (if you deliver real results to multiple people) - people will talk and share results that is the best free promotion

later make another but paid course this time (start with very affordable prices)

if the above works well you will see sales in your digital product also

imagine this: you don't have money or you have been scammed too many times, so you don't trust easy now

if you see a free course that delivers value, results and make real money, most likely you will buy the next cheap one to make more money and so on ...

The beauty of facebook is that it can read the target audience when you run ads. You can try running ads to see if it works better.

Using a freebie attracted a lot of people with no money that are just hunting for free stuff on the net, never convert, and they said it themselves that they have no money.

Wouldn't you say a small cheap offer would filter people with credit cards?

I mean how can you filter serious buyers with a freebie from those who arent?

its still cold traffic
give them value, not just info that is everywhere free (gain authority)
something that makes their life better (gain authority)
solve real human problems (gain authority)
make money with proof as said above, not only you but everyone that use it (gain authority)

yes you can say all that
but the audience decides not you or me

if it is warm traffic you will see buyers, orders, sells

gain authority, I write above some ideas
other is make a live zoom or something similar
other is make questions trying to understand their needs, their problems, where they want help
you can make questions in public or by sending msg one by one to 10 -20 people or via live
research your audience , make notes, schedule every day something
also, research what is your ideal type of customer and make a comparison with your current audience
