Help! I'm attracting traffic with no money

Hello Everyone,

I have a digital course that I'm trying to sell online.

I'm using Facebook ads as my source of traffic, in which I offer a lead magnet (freebie)

The ad creative sends people to join my Skool group, inside it they can get their lead magnet.

Problem is, it seems that I'm attracting people with no money or no job, that are poor and are just starting out.

My aim and ideal customer is the one that's already making money and looking to scale.

Can anybody tell me if there is some kind of a way to filter in an adset for example to get to my target audience?

Your advice would be much appreciated.

Focus on targeting individuals with specific job titles, income levels and online behaviors related to your course. Consider using lookalike audiences based on high-value customers and existing successful customers to attract those more likely to invest in scaling their business.

you can also experiment with different ad creatives and landing pages to resonate with your ideal audience

As far as I know the "income levels" that data is only available for people in the USA?

As to the online behavior, which ones should i focus on?
 
with facebook ads, I also for my business set the age limit higher as most teen don't have the money to spend for my business
 
Have you tested a lookalike audience?
Try testing a lookalike audience of people who have interacted with your page, or people who have inboxed your page.

You should have requirements in your ad creative, such as requiring payment to participate or specifying how much income users need to reach to enter. I think there is something wrong with your ad creative.

In that case, what is the age range or the minimum age you start from?

No i haven't, because i don't send people directly to my sales page, but rather to my skool page.

Knowing that, is that still possible to do in that case?
 
Hey, try layering your targeting. You can combine income levels, specific job titles, and interests that are relevant to your niche. Also, lookalike audiences based on your best customers work well. Just make sure to exclude the lower-income brackets or broad interests so you’re focusing on people who are ready to invest.

But just to be sure isn't the income level option only available for people from the USA?
 
the message you share, attracts the audience you have
is anything that this audience needs and wants to buy?
find it and you will make money with the current audience you have

you want new audience with other characteristics (economical: have a job, or businesses - b2b, or other)
change your message respectively
 
Source an audience list of high-value customers in your GEO and fine-tune your targeting. Using a lookalike audience based on previous high-paying clients will help your campaign reach a similar audience, improving targeting and results.
 
Your lead magnet is the problem. You attracting freebie seekers. That free ebook method don't work like it used, unless you have a very enticing funnel that get's them to buy a low ticket offer on the front end so that you can offset the traffic costs. The low ticket offer gives you access to the buyers, not the people who signup for a free ebook. Try making it $1 or something so that you have a micro commitment and then later on you can upsell them your course, it will cost a bit more to aquire these leads, but you will have buyer traffic.

Thanks for the advice. What you said makes a lot of sense. I did that in the past couple fo weeks.

I'm offering a low ticket offer for $10. Do you think that's too high? As you suggested $1, it may give the wrong impression to the buyer that it's not valuable if it's just $1.

No, once you get the credit card info, it's a solid buyer. Just your fuunel needs to compliment it.
 
Targeting is not the problem, it's the offer itself. You're promoting a freebie so you're getting freeloaders. Try promoting a paid product.

Makes sense man. It always intrigued me why many marketers were using this freebie method, I thought it's the way to go, and it's working for them.

Using a lead magnet can work for sure but you'd need to build a funnel and the freebie has to be created in such a way that people get pulled further into the funnel.

On the next level you could convince them to buy a $1 product, or even $0 (a free trial with cc), and from here you can focus on upselling only to these ppl that used their cc.

Since you're using paid ads, you need to test creatives and funnels until you get the customer aquisition cost, then try to lower it as much as possible while maximizing the customer lifetime value.
