I have a TikTok channel where I upload repurposed content from another creator, making some edits and adding my unique touches. This strategy works well on TikTok without any flags or shadowbans. However, when I upload the same content to Instagram, it gets shadowbanned, resulting in only 1-2 views. What am I doing wrong? Any advice or insights would be appreciate. PS: If i'm not mistaken i had a yellow thing on account status monetise. Can't find it now, since i deleted all the content

Does it have the TT logo in the vid? I've seen it said Instagram scans for those watermarks and logos to squelch them.

if you are moving it to instagram, better change it modify it enought and add extra things and tell is yours don't give credit as you are doing on tiktok which I'm surpirse that is working for you :suspicious:

make content unique. re edit them and add some frames and make video unique.

How did you know you were shadowbanned? Could you share some stats about your Instagram account? For example, is your account new, and how many followers do you have? What's your average engagement rate? Also, are you only reposting TikTok content, or have you tried posting original content as well?

hi! i see it because i have 1-2 views in the reels i upload. my account was totally new so i had not followers.but for this reason i started uploading and instagram shadowbanned me XD. its not that i dont use original content its short of original since i make some changes, transitions, cuts and add some other things too.

sometime it may appear a logo of the main youtube channel that uploaded this, but still my content is different. i put my own efford in it, with cuts, transitions etc

you mean in general or from tiktok to instagram ? because in order to pass the tiktok check i had already made them unique.but do i have to do it again for instagram ?

If the account is brand new, it’s possible that it was poorly set up. Did you purchase the account or create it yourself? Is it phone verified? What kind of IP did you use? Did you create the account using a phone? How many accounts were created using that phone? Have any of your Instagram accounts been recently blocked or banned, and if so, did you use the same phone for this account?

Additionally, the changes you’re making to the video to make it unique might not be enough.

Lastly, please use the multi-quote feature next time when replying, as it’s the proper way to post on BHW. https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/how-to-use-the-multiquote-feature-on-bhw.975670/

Instagram's algorithm has gotten much better at detecting and restricting duplicate content. https://www.theverge.com/2024/4/30/24144571/instagram-algorithm-ranking-recommendations-reposted-content

So even though I have the same username on TikTok and Instagram, and they know I have a legitimate profile, I've already changed the content once. I took it from the original creator, edited it, and posted it on TikTok. Now, do I need to re-edit it for Instagram so it doesn't look like a duplicate?

Instagram might be limiting your views because it doesn’t like watermarks or if the content looks too similar to what’s already out there. Try removing any TikTok logos and make your edits more unique. Also, check if there’s any issue with your account status.

Noted!!

do you upload your tiktok vids in reels with watermark? if you do, it's better to remove the watermark :)

If you use hashtags that are banned or flagged for inappropriate content, your posts may be limited in visibility. Always check if a hashtag is currently banned before using it.
