I just got a pretty out-of-the-box idea, but I'm not completely sure it'll work out. I just wanted your opinion and suggestions, and perhaps this could become a full method. I bet it would work pretty well. I need you to post at least an opinion about it, and some suggestions on it would be really great.
I posted this method on another forum, too, but figured I'd rather share it here.
Okay, first thing you want to do is make up some new product which you can't just randomly find in a household.. Something totally stupid that no one would normally have lying around.. And something you can mass produce. I'm not really sure what, but you kinda get the point. Let's say for example purposes you use "Potato sculptures" (You cut a potato into a little man-whatever-thing)
Now, you need to take two pictures of your sculpture! From slightly different angles, and on different desks for example.
You want to make an account on eBay and another somewhere else. Craigslist, for example. One account puts up his awesome potato-figure for, let's say, 500$ on ebay.
The next account sets up a post somewhere else, let's say Craigslist or whatever you want. We'll have to figure this one out together I think.
Now, you want to make a post there, saying something like "I'm a collector of rare figures, and one of my friends (who is also a collector) showed me this picture of something he bought <insert second picture of weird potato-thingy here>.. I'd like to buy something like it, preferably as identical as possible! I'm willing to pay at least 1000$ for it. Contact me on my email: [email protected]"
Then, you make ANOTHER account, and make a comment (Okay, you can't do this on Craigslist I think, but you get the point) - We need to covertly link to our ebay sales page in a way that doesn't seem obvious. Make a comment saying "lol, like dis? linktoebaysalespagehere".. Now, someone else will see that comment, think "Oh, here's some easy cash to be made. I'll buy this for 500$ on ebay and resell it for 1000$. Easy profit!" - But once he's bought it from the ebay account, you never buy it through the craigslist thing. You simply ignore him.
That's basically scamming, and yes, it's kind of blackhat, but surely not illegal as long as you cover your tracks. You're selling basically some crap for as much as you want, really. You could do 1000$/2000$ as well. Just gotta be creative with the thing. I don't think potato figures would work too well, though, because you might get a ton of emails from people putting together their own ones, lol. A good idea would be art. Make your own "Abstract" drawings and resell them with this method.
So, what do you guys think? Opinions and suggestions are appreciated. I'm yet to try this method, but I'm pretty sure it could work out nicely. It definitely has potential. If you know any sites where you could post the buying part, please share them. I believe this method can easily net in $10k per month if you actively do it every or every other day. It just needs a little improving, which I'm hoping you guys can help with.
