I previously asked for help on how to scale my operations, and now I’ve decided to turn this into a performance journal. I’ll document everything here to both get your advice and hopefully help others in the future.

Let’s start from the beginning. I work in the gambling market, running Meta Ads that lead to a Telegram channel. Inside this channel, I work on converting leads (I currently have 83,000 subscribers in this particular channel).

In the affiliate platform I use, I receive 50% revshare, with 65,000 total sign-ups, 11,000 FTDs (First Time Depositors), and 28,000 total deposits, totaling $300,000 in deposits and $72,000 in revenue.

I started in this market in January, and now, after 9 months, I focus on Tier 2-3 countries (India, Nigeria, South Africa, etc.—over 30 countries in total).

My current strategy is to grow my Telegram channel as much as possible because I can easily convert leads there. The more subscribers, the more revenue I generate.

I’m currently running a lead campaign where people see my ad on Facebook/Instagram, land on a pre-lander, and from there, join my Telegram channel. Once they click to join, Facebook logs the lead event. I’ve also set up a purchase event that triggers when someone clicks my affiliate link inside the Telegram channel.

The issue I’ve faced over the past few months is that I’ve become stagnant in my results (around $5K-$7K/month), and I haven’t been able to scale beyond that. Based on feedback from the forum, I realized the problem might be frequency. Since I’m working with many GEOs, it’s hard to create a lookalike audience, so I opted for a custom audience exclusion.

I’ve excluded people from my audience for 180 days if they’ve triggered events like page views, leads, purchases, or engagement with my Instagram/Facebook. My potential reach is 700 million people, so this should help reduce frequency.

Right now, I’m running 20 creatives with a $0.10 cost per lead, aiming to keep my frequency under 2.5 in the long term. I’ve also started a new ad account to build from scratch.

I’ll continue to update this journal and hope it helps someone out there. I’ve gained some experience in this market and welcome any advice you all have.

Daily Update (So Far)

Today’s results so far, with 5 hours left in the day:

  • 414 clicks on the affiliate link (inside my Telegram channel)
  • 61 registrations
  • 28 FTDs
  • 65 total deposits
  • $360.22 in deposits
  • $58 in revshare
One of my main creatives was suddenly disapproved by Facebook today, causing my CPL to jump from $0.10 to $0.26 (I scaled from $60 to $110/day in ads).

I created new creatives, and my costs are already dropping again. By tomorrow, everything should stabilize. My plan is to keep spending $110/day on ads until next Tuesday, as the platform’s withdrawals are processed weekly.

Interesting journey and I will follow you, I have been in gambling before (long ago) until my country outlawed it and all casino affiliate programs banned me and all other affiliates from my country.

I have a few questions op:
- Are you running cloaked ads on social media to your pre-lander? Or else how do you target the right audience?
- What is "the catch" for a potential lead? Do you promise them some type of tutorial or gambling strategy or whats the incentive to join your group?
- Once joined, how do you convert/convince them?

Cheers and good luck!

Thanks for following my journey! Sorry to hear about the restrictions in your country; I’ve heard similar stories from others. Let me answer your questions one by one:

  • Cloaked ads: No, I don’t use cloaked ads. My ads are straightforward on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. I target broad Tier 2-3 GEOs with interest-based targeting (like people interested in betting and casinos). From there, I send them to a pre-lander that promotes joining my Telegram channel, where they get more details.
  • The “catch” for leads: The incentive I offer is access to an AI that sends 24/7 casino signals. This AI specializes in signals for a specific casino game and provides real-time opportunities for them to act on. The draw is that these signals are exclusive and constantly running, so leads feel like they’re getting insider knowledge that can help them win.
  • Converting them: Once they join the Telegram group, the conversion process happens naturally. The AI is constantly providing signals, which keeps them engaged. With time, many users begin to trust the AI’s accuracy, and that’s when they start making deposits and placing bets through the affiliate links I provide. The ongoing signals are what keep them active and converting into deposits over time.
Cheers, and good luck with your ventures as well!

Does your telegram have legit content or is it just ads?
Great question! My Telegram channel is focused on legitimate content, not just ads. The main feature is an AI I developed that sends real-time casino signals 24/7 for a specific game. This helps users make informed decisions and engage actively with the platform. The content is valuable and actionable, and while there are affiliate links, the primary focus is on delivering signals and keeping users engaged with the strategy.

Update 09/17/2024

Hey everyone, how’s it going? Today wasn’t a great day, but it’s mostly due to Facebook Ads issues. In my previous post, I mentioned that my main creative was suddenly disapproved. As a result, Facebook shifted to my other creatives, and my CPL jumped from $0.10 to $0.22.

Because of this, I’ve already created new creatives, and I expect costs to drop again by tomorrow.

Results for today:

  • Ad spend: $110.50
  • Cost per Lead: $0.22
  • 500 affiliate link clicks (inside my Telegram channel)
  • 71 registrations
  • 37 FTDs
  • 91 total deposits
  • $571.22 in deposits
  • $70.85 in revshare
No profits today, but that’s okay! Some users made money using my affiliate link, which is actually a good thing. When users profit, they’re more likely to deposit more in the future, as their confidence grows.

I’ll be back tomorrow with another report. Feel free to respond with any tips—especially regarding Facebook Ads! I hope sharing this journey helps some of you as well.

Wishing success and health to all of us!

This is a very impressive performance journey with a lot of details from you. It seems like you have made some solid steps in growing your Telegram channel and advertising campaign. I have a little advice, after many years of renting facebook accounts to Game advertising teams,... I found that instead of just excluding the audience that has interacted, try creating different lookalike audiences with variations of factors such as behavior, interests, and geography. Create opportunities for users to interact more with your Telegram channel, such as organizing contests, promotions. This can help you reach new groups of potential customers.

Do you have any recommendations on affiliates? Been searching around for a good sportsbook affiliate, but a lot of their affiliate programs are kinda run down.

Impressive! A lot to learn from you man. Good luck! Do you work with multiple gambling platform or just one?

Thanks for the valuable feedback! Regarding lookalike audiences, I agree that it's a powerful strategy, but it’s a bit tricky since I operate across so many GEOs. However, I’ll definitely explore creating some variations based on behavior and interests—it's worth a test for sure.

As for promotions, I actually run a weekly $100 giveaway for active users in my Telegram channel. I collect their betting platform IDs and randomly select a winner. When their ID is picked, I ask them to contact me privately to claim the prize. It's been a great way to keep engagement high, but I'm always open to more ideas to keep the momentum going.

Thanks again for the insights, and I’ll keep you posted on how these tests go!

Do you have any recommendations on affiliates? Been searching around for a good sportsbook affiliate, but a lot of their affiliate programs are kinda run down.
If you’re specifically looking for sportsbook affiliates, I’d recommend focusing on a platform that has a strong emphasis on sports betting. Some platforms are more casino-oriented, where the homepage is filled with casino games, which might not align with your goals. Brands like Bet365 and Betfair are solid examples of platforms that prioritize sports betting.

However, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend affiliating with big names like those, as they already have a massive user base and it might be harder to stand out. Instead, try finding a smaller or more niche sportsbook affiliate program where you can have more impact.

Also, consider adding a unique incentive for your audience to use the sportsbook you promote. It could be something like a deposit bonus or a strategy guide to help them place better bets. With the right funnel, there are plenty of ways to offer value and attract users to your recommended platform.

Fantastic, brother! Good luck on your journey. This funnel looks great—it’s tested and proven, and I know it works.

I’m curious, you mentioned expanding to tier II and III geos. Where are you running your ads right now? I ask because the FTDs and revshare seem a bit low, so I’m guessing you’re not running in the USA, Canada, or Western Europe.

Also, if you’re getting conversions on Telegram, why is your ad spend so low? Just curious about that too.

Impressive! A lot to learn from you man. Good luck! Do you work with multiple gambling platform or just one?
Thanks, I really appreciate it! I currently work with just one betting platform, but it operates across multiple GEOs. I won’t mention the name here to avoid direct competition, haha! However, with a quick Google search, I’m sure you’ll come across it. Best of luck with your journey too!

I really like your creative approach. I follow you and hope for your success! Does your AI publish sports betting signals such as predictions?

Thanks a lot! I’m glad you like the approach. Yes, my AI essentially guides users on when to take certain actions on the betting platform to improve their results. It’s not 100% accurate, of course, but it helps me maintain a solid LTV (lifetime value) for my clients. Over time, I get a lot of re-deposits from users.

Plus, even when they stop following the signals and start betting on random games, I still earn from them as long as they stay active on the platform. It’s a win-win!

Have you considered that your bottleneck might be telegram? I realize that telegram makes it easier to convert sales, however there is a stigma surrounding telegram and a lot of people might be turned off by having to download it just to continue. It may benefit you to move telegram's functionality over to your landing page and convert from there.

Thanks a lot, brother! Appreciate the support. You’re spot on—I'm mostly running ads in Tier II and III GEOs like India, Nigeria, South Africa, and other countries with lower competition. So yeah, you're right, the FTDs and revshare are lower compared to markets like the USA or Western Europe, but the volume helps balance it out.

As for the ad spend, I keep it on the lower side because I’ve found that scaling too fast in these GEOs can quickly increase costs and lower profitability. I’m optimizing gradually to keep the cost per lead down and ensure that my funnel converts well without burning through too much budget. Plus, with conversions happening on Telegram, the LTV grows over time, so it’s about playing the long game.

That’s a solid point, and I’ve definitely thought about it. I get that Telegram can have some stigma, and the extra step of downloading it might turn off a few people. Moving some of the functionality to a landing page could help streamline things.

However, I don’t think I’ve hit the ceiling yet with Telegram. I know players in the market with over 500k users in their Telegram channels, pulling in at least $10k/day. So there’s still a lot of potential to grow before I hit that cap. But yeah, keeping it in mind as I scale!
