It's growing, as there is a lot of high growth startups, not nearly as much as San Francisco obviously.

It's ok, quite tough of course, but remote work is more popular and foreign companies actually like to hire in Canada a lot. Best sectors are hospitality, engineering, business (tech), agriculture, and cannabis.

Here in Toronto, the average cost of living is $2,608 USD for a single person and $5,953 USD for a family. These averages hold if you live in most parts of Ontario, British Columbia, or Quebec, though it may be slightly cheaper in Alberta (not for long) and definitely cheaper in the other provinces.

Pretty much every house yes, but I should say, most don't have "real" maple syrup, such as those from maple trees. A lot of processed corn syrup. But many households have both.

Most kids growing up played street hockey, ice hockey is a bit more of an acquired skill, so not as many, but a lot do

Yup, pretty cold in the winter. From Oct fall to February. Looking at -15 Celsius
