That is really all it comes down to for me. Relevancy, power and cleanliness. Without one of these things the domain is not of use to me, maybe for a low qual PBN if it has high Moz/Majestic/Ahrefs stats, but not for my use.

I don't tend to care about the stats on sites like Ahrefs or Majestic for anything beyond a starting point. If it has a TF of 15 but ticks the other boxes it will likely be better for me than an irrelevent or spammed TF 40. Cleanliness is key.

there is no definitive way to check if you are buying from auction but from a reseller you can check indexing also checking the domain history on wayback making sure nothing dodgy was up on it
