Best Host for WooCommerce on a Budget? Any Tips?

Hey everyone,

I'm in the process of setting up a WordPress WooCommerce store and trying to find the best hosting option that won't break the bank.
I’m aiming to keep the costs down but still want the store to run smoothly without any hiccups.

Anyone got recommendations for a solid, affordable host that works well with WooCommerce?
Also, if you’ve got any tips on how to keep costs low while making sure the store is viable and performs well, tell me please.

Don't use a shared host, you need a VPS to handle all the bot traffic that flows around the net, otherwise it will just be susceptible to 404's every so often.

If you are technically minded you can use a bare vps, and setup things how you want with commands. But if you are not that technical, look for a host that provides a sort of CPanel experience included.

It might be expensive to setup for one site at first, but if it takes off, you can make another site on the vps, and keep your costs the same, minus the domain registration. Most basic VPS, can easily handle about 5-10 busy wp sites.

Thanks for the advice! For the domain, I’ve already found a place where I can get it for €1.20 for the first year, so I’m good on that front.
My main concern is just reducing the hosting costs for the first month with a monthly subscription.
I do have a VPS right now, but I was curious if there were any cheap independent hosts out there that might be worth considering instead of putting the store on my VPS.
I would like to separate the activities of my VPS and the store host.

I’ve used Plesk and cPanel before, so I’m familiar with what you’re talking about. But about blocking bots for the store—am I understanding correctly that you’re saying I need to do that? I’m a bit confused about that part.

No, you have to know chance to stop every bot. Too many people build and run scraper bots that scrape everyone's website for data, based on keywords you rank for.

I don't know how you could separate the activities of your vps and your store. That doesn't make any sense to me. You need the VPS to put your site on. If you want a proxy between the 2, then you need 2 hosts!

The reason I want to separate the VPS and my store is to keep two different projects on different machines, so their activities don’t overlap.
That’s why I’m looking for a cheap but reliable host for my store, with a monthly payment plan (not annual), that offers good quality in terms of traffic limits, storage, and overall service.
My other VPS is more expensive and I'm not sure I'll maintain it so I want to be able to have a separate hosting service so that if I don't maintain the current VPS I don't have anything change on my host.

If I can’t find a host that fits these criteria, I’ll probably have to host it on my main VPS, but I’d prefer to keep them separate if possible.

Regarding the bots, I get that scraper bots can be an issue, but why would that be a major problem for my site?
Is there a way to block them effectively without it becoming a big problem?

I wouldn't say it's a major problem; it's just a guaranteed headache if you're on shared hosting. Some people add Cloudflare anti-bot click-checking. But I would say from being on the receiving end of these, they are offputting. Basically, before the person sees the site, they have to click a Cloudflare popup to confirm they are human.

better to get a VPS. I know allwebhost.com - they have good VPS services. Check them out

Thanks for those website recommendations but for now they are more expensive than the one I am using which is really better than them. So thanks but I will not use those one.
I am more interested by the ecommerce solution problems on cost, because in term of host I was asking to see if there is a better one but its seems not possible.
