Hi, I personally think Medium article still ranks on Google. But it has become slow.

Be careful with medium or other platforms where you share your content.
Because canonical Link not matters today and Google gives a shit about content owners.

Wait Google Index your content on your site, then write a different shorter Story for medium with link back to your site, otherwise medium outranks you, canonical link or not.

you medium subdomain article ranks high
so why a blogger/blogspot wordpress.com subdomain article not ranks that high? Because all these platforms have high DA.

medium is a great way to promote your content, and to answer your question yes medium articles rank on google and can provide you traffic as well. The thing most people do now a days is that they create content with ai and wish that it will rank. No it may be rank sometimes but if you create good content then there are very high chances that it will rank on medium. Medium already have good authority so you dont need to create links or do off page activity just create good content add good images in it and it will rank if it works on the right keyword.
