the website is down

Don't bother it is far too uncontrollable and you end up with a forum full of spam and unsavoury content so it actually is a counter productive tool that risks getting you banned...

You can have my licensed copy cheap with pleasure!

Anyone know what happened to Forum Generator website? Its gone. I know the owner is ill but still I was wondering.

Are you talking about the one for Xsite Pro 2 ?

I had pretty good success with it for a while, until my hosting company shut down my account for using up the servers bandwidth and CPU...

it worked great for getting lots and lots of backlinks for various sites. but yeah I had the same problem. Using to much bandwidth and CPU.

It was an interesting idea, but now I think there are plenty of other SEO tools that do a better job.

hitext - what other tools would you recommend to populate a forum with content?

or anyone else have suggestions?

I had pretty much the same experience with it. Was great at first, then it wasnt so great anymore.

I haven't used my copy of FG for a while, for similar reasons (too much server-resources consumed)...

But I just had a thought - perhaps we could run it on a local machine (using WAMP or XAMPP) and then use some sort of MySQL synchronisation process to regularly update changes to the database of our "live" forum (the one on our website)?

Anyone know if this would work... and what would be the easiest way to regularly sync updates to the live site?
