how's life there in the future?
could be many reasons...
1. Google serves you personalized results, so you need to log out of your google account, clear your browser cookies, use private / incognito mode as well as a VPN and then check the rankings.
2. could be a desktop vs mobile thing (you're checking on 1 device but GSC is showing rankings for the other device), so make sure you check for the same device
3. the rankings could fluctuate (sometimes they do), and when you check them they might be down, but later they could go back up, so you need to check periodically and multiple times (or use a rank tracking tool / service that sends you reports whenever changes happen)
4. the data center you use to check the rankings might not have been updated with the new rankings, so you need to wait / check again later (in few days). Google uses multiple data centers and - from what I know (although I could be wrong on this one) - the SERPs are not identical in all of these data centers / locations.
These are just 4 of the reasons that I can think of, but there are probably more.... But anyway, the best option is to use a rank tracking service / tool to keep track of your rankings and send you reports when things change, and then you won't have to worry about what misleading info GSC shows you
