Because they haven't dropped yet.

When a domain drops, it's whois record is deleted from the registry and you lose its site age.

So if a domain was registered in 2004 and you bought it in an auction, you still have the domain's age from 2004.
That's not the case with expired domains.

Higher your domain age, more the domain's value, more reputation in seo tools and a greater backlink history.
