Recently, I came across an email validator website that offers free trial with no registration, I'm familiar with python and web scraping so I was able to expose the request url and I got successful responses from the website validator tool.
I also scrape public proxies from github directories, I wrote a script to scrape 2000 proxies every few seconds, I merged the two scripts together and I was able to verify thousands of emails with basically 0$

I feel it's kinda unethical, but what I'm concerned about is it illegal to do that? I wanna know so I don't get in unexpected trouble.

I'll try implementing another email verifier just in case.
Also, do you have by a verified email list?, like 500 emails or so, I can mix them with random emails and test the accuraccy of my script. If it works good I can verify 3k emails for u for free

I do B2B e-mails and I get most of them through Apollo where the email is checked as "Verified" and "Likely to Engage". I got one list like that that was scraped 3 days ago and can send it over if you'd like.

The last time a strictly used an e-mail verifier after scraping the e-mails from apollo was 2 months ago. I can locate that file for you by tomorrow if you need it but I'm not sure if that one is the best for a benchmark.

Depends where you live, you have to obey law of your country.
In my country (Europe) its illegal (I consulted with lawyer some time ago about this).
Scraping public proxies may be not the best idea... some public proxies can leak your original IP, and because of this you may get in trouble.

Will you get in trouble? I dont think so.
But always make sure you are using proxies that dont leak your IP address, for extra safety go for no logs vpn + proxy. In worst case VPN IP will be leaked, not your VPS IP.

usually from proxy services free lists.

I live in a 3rd world country, few months ago the server of the ministery of education was hacked with a simple sql injection lol so i don't think they're ever getting to me.
I'm only considering the unethical part of it. it's a big company few thousands checks won't hurt them I guess.

I think is illegal because you are using someone else's resources (api) without their consent in an intended way. If it was my api I would investigate and sue someone if I could find him because I am paying for those api requests u make.
Will this get u in trouble? Probably not because they choose to ignore this part and leave it run or they don't have enough resources to came after you.
