Chronic depression and SEO

Stack Magnesium citrate + vitamin b6 + zinc
Vitamins D3 + k2
Some caffeine if you tolerate it

Usual anti-depressant stack that I get daily + of course psychiatric medication.

how do you know your social skills are zero? Maybe it's a self-confidence issue, when someone doubts himself, it seems to him that others doubt him as well, when someone that doesn't doubt himself treats those that doubt him as idiots.
besides depression, i also have diagnosed social phobia. you can imagine it as extreme introvert. i usually don't drink, but when i go where there's a lot of people, especially if i have to sit and talk, i can do it just drunk. it wasn't a big problem when i was working on software because it's already lonely job, you have your cubicle

It's because you ain't got no trust for nobody.

You need to find a trusted person, a professional who won't call you names and judge you!!!

And don't work in software if you want mental health LOOL

Hexagonal is open about it. Lucky.sparks said something about it.

I say too. Silverclouds says it's all nerds and odd people.

Software is SHIT industry. :p Unless you have very specific (normal / healthy) environment but that's quite rare in software.

People give up their $100K / year job cause they feel so shit doing them.

I think it really depends on the personality of the person. I grew up in very bad conditions. Single mother household, debts, housing and monthly money from government, then went to orphan when I was 13, went from one orphan to another. Changed school 4 times in 3 years. Somehow still managed to get a school degree even tho I had 60 missing days in one year. I had a complete lack of responsibility and I was absolutely lazy. Then, when I thought I was lucky to get a apprenticeship in a hospital, they kicked me out of this job after 4 months. The real lesson I got in the hospital: Older people in their final years (or sometimes days) had a lot of regret in their life, told me to be brave, to get shit done as soon as possible, to never waste time. When I got kicked out I had no plan B. I was sitting on a bench in a park, had no one to call because there simply was no one to call, nobody gave a shit. This was in 2013, the very same year I signed up on BHW.

And since then, I was earning at least 4 figures per month by myself, full responsibility, I became CEO of my own company. In one moment in 2013, I was almost homeless and had to sleep on a mattress in my best friends small apartment, one year later in 2014 I was sitting in the Park Hyatt in Tokyo in the roof top restaurant.

I never talked about this, because I don't want to be put in any box, I don't want to embrace any victim mentality or anything. Shit happens to everyone. I literally do not know a single person who hadn't keep up with random shit happening to them. Be it from getting extremely, one parents died suddenly, or they had a car crash, or they got addicted to gambling or drugs or alcohol, or some people got into depression because of a failed relationship, etc. I never saw anyone who had a life without any worries or problem.

Embrace change
your story is totally opposite of mine. you went from the bottom to the top, i slided down in opposite direction.
i had a (mostly) normal family and childhood (except war), college diploma, string of good jobs...
as a senior software developer i had slightly more money than i have now, i had paid pension fond, paid private health insurance...
i didn't have any big, so dramatic catastrophic events in my life that are even close to yours.
i just have bad genetic combination that led me to this. no change in my attitude or the like can change it. bad brain chemistry.

Stronger anti-depressants + mega-doses of vitamin C (joke).

I heard from people with bad brain chemistry they need 3 psych drugs at once...

Maybe try experiments with diets as well.

Well, solution is to find a person that will remind you that all the time whenever this happens. :D

At least once a week.

It can spiral down and spiral down... You can't let them ruminations happen. You need someone to stop it

I see guys jumping out the window every now and then...

Take care.
therapy truly helps, it's expensive but it's basically this.

If people trigger anxiety in you it's because of some past trauma that you believe has a high probability of happening again so that's why you get anxiety. But traumatic events are inevitable, socializing is possible only by focusing on positive traits in others and in you. If you are critical of others you won't go near them, if you are critical of yourself you won't allow anyone to come near you.

i leave it to the doctor, of course i will not experiment on my own :) the current combination seems to work, but i guess the situation changes with time.
my type of depression doesn't lead to self-harm, it looks more like being frozen, totally passive, and not being able to do anything for very long periods of time.

It rarely does lead to self-harm.

What results in self-harm is personality disorder like borderline personality disorder with specific personality traits.

I am more asocial. On anti-social spectrum spending major portion of my time on the internet and doing random stuff only I enjoy...

But I get these borderline features too.

It's very complicated with personality disorders if you look at it. You feel like a psychopath, then you feel like some paranoid fck, then again you feel like destroying half the city, then you drop like from a building and feel like you just did the worst thing ever. Then it leads to depression and drug abuse or bad relationships.

These are multiple cycles running in cycles within cycles...

Pure depression is something you might have cause you say you've been doing well all your life. I don't have just pure depression. My depression stems from my insane ways of dealing with the world, living with extremely negative people / whiners and anti-social people. And my thoughts I learned in my environment translate to emotions, then bad (or sometimes good) actions which then it fcks (or fixes if it's good) my neurotransmitters from overwhelming negativity and hatred (or positivity and love)...

Your behavior and thinking have huge influence on your neurotransmitters basically.

Anyone is doing their best, but everyone can do better. Even saints!

it looks more like being frozen, totally passive, and not being able to do anything for very long periods of time.
Don't tell me a very positive person wouldn't be able to influence you day by day and take you out of that hole.

I just don't believe a huge amount of trial and error wouldn't help.

Sometimes it's the case but if you had somehow good things in your life, there must be some way to influence that beyond meds. :p

I find some experiences so rewarding I don't feel like getting depressed again. And they all are in groups, with close connection, bonding to other people.

I heard having kids can change your life...

Why would your career make your life less depressed? In fact it does the opposite for me. It's more stress, responsibility. It's burning me out.

If you think about your body and brain: does it care about itself or bank account status? For sure it cares about itself. Putting constant stress on it like career / engineering is basically too hard.

If I don't get to meet very positive people, no job satisfies me. In fact at jobs all I care about is nice people, not even money.

Maybe don't chase career and status next time. Balance it with relationships.

I would practice as much self-care and self-help as possible instead of practicing adding another 0 to my bank account number. Don't confuse it with self-improvement - you want real, science based psychology and therapy.

I read "psychologytoday" and books for behavioral therapy to understand how to take things easy.

In other words, you want to remove depression by making money or getting more clients? You'll get the opposite effect. My experience. :p Money is just a medium of energy. You don't need too much of it to meet people and live life as it's supposed to be lived.

The only thing you can multiply forever are emotions. You give love to someone, they give back to you. And it doesn't cost anything but being with each other.

What do you multiply when you're alone? Boredom. If you're too bored, you'll freeze. And you'll not want to move.

If you get love, you'll get hot and aroused. Multiply this and you'll be feeling like a 7 year old kid seeing new car dad just bought you.

i find myself lucky. my parent love me, most of my life i was with people acting nice to me, i was married two times and both times my wifes loved me, my cıurrent wife fully supports me and tries to understand me, i have cats that i really love and 2-3 friends.
but when i'm down no talking helps, no human support helps. just meds

I don't know...

Most people do caffeine as a mood boosting medication. :D

Maybe if you stimulate yourself enough during dark days, it might help.

If not, that would mean your body becomes completely unresponsive!

I'm doing permanent meds. I gave up them once. Well, it backfired.

Don't be a hero.

I forgot what depression was like...

I better don't get reminded.

The paralyzing electricity of fear going through my body trying to walk it off... run through it... helped a little bit... only to give me another surge of extreme fear of people and doing anything...

Well, it feels worth it to take 10 mg pill every night to not go through it ever again.

These topics always result in the same conclusion... depressive. :D

Where are you from?
i was born in ex-yugoslavia, balkans, south-eastern europe. the first war started 1991 and the last ended in 2001.
now living in asia.

Sounds like you're an introvert.
yes i am, but it's not a problem, it counts as a lifestyle. you can accept it and organize your life accordingly.
but chronic depression is something else, without meds you cannot live a normal life

I just received package:
-mucuna pruriens (L-Dopa)
-egcg (L-Dopa decomposition blocker)

I'll add vitamin D, B6, magnesium, potasium + multivitamin stack from local store.

If this will not help in 30 days, I am going to doctor to get buprion.

My usual day:
-sleep 6 hours
-do some computer things, usualy 0 work
-sleep again few hours, eat something, watch tv series

I am lazy even to go to shop to buy cigarettes ;/

i suppose "My usual day: ..." refers to days when you feel low. it looks like what i describe as "being blocked"
my current therapy is selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (ssri) + reversible inhibitor of monoamine oxidase a (rima)

Looks like you are burned up. Just go for a vacation, hiking or something that challenges you / reminds your past good times.

Its okay to live for yourself, be selfish on your health. Age is just number, so dont ever focus on it.

not burned up, it would be a "normal" depression. you can go to a vacation, take some meds temporarily, or even be hospitalized for a few months, but when you get out your life continues normally - it was just an episode.
not in my case. with chronic depression it comes in waves that last from months to years, sometimes without a real reason/trigger in your life/environment, so change of environment (long vacation) means nothing

some 9-5 jobs are good and I had a few I really enjoyed them but at some point could drain you mental health, so take a break and continue and move on to something better is not bad, usually everyone start noticing their mental health is bad until they are close to a mental breakdown, and is not only jobs but the important is to get help, medication and get better.
