Help Setting Up Google Merchant & Ad Account

Hi all,

I would like to create a Google merchant and ads account to promote an ecom store using shopping ads. I will be opening the account as an individual. I'm trying to avoid having my new account suspended/banned, so what tips would you recommend? I already have had accounts blocked/suspended with Microsoft, so I'm trying to avoid the same outcome with Google. I'm not doing anything sketchy...

What payment method do you recommend I use for Google Ads? I know with Microsoft adding certain payment methods will potentially get you suspended and possibly blocked. So what is the safest payment method I should use for Google ads? Thanks

Just use fresh VCC, best practice warm up the ad account with search campaign with minimum few impressions in campaign and then turn it off. Do this before connecting it to merchant center. If you get suspicious payments appeal, 99% you get it back if you appeal this correctly.

With any Google Ad account, have to warm it up but only for the first week or 2 and you can pretty much do whatever it is you need.

The card doesn't necessarily matter as long as they accept it, better if under your name so you can prove its yours.

You'll most likely get banned for suspicious payments, but you should be fine getting it unbanned after appealing it. Just submit a picture of your card, explain your business properly and dont run any blackhat campaigns during first few weeks.

During the appeal process, you may get asked to do advertiser verification for your business. Just fill out the details correctly and you should be verified in 3 days.

After this, as long as you're not violating anything, you're pretty much good to do whatever it is you want.

To warm up the account I was going to run a shopping campaign for my store. I was planning to spend $5-10 daily for the first week or two. Do you think that will be fine?

Would it be safer to use PayPal instead of a card? I'm really trying to avoid any suspensions/bans. It's bad enough I had to deal with this with Microsoft. This account will only be used to promote my online shops, so no blackhat campaigns.

payment methods don't matter. make sure you follow ALL policies.

Google ads is really the simplest part, and if your gmc is approved but you haven't spent any money, it's worthless. There's another manual review after you start spending, and that's where you'll get a misrep. You can also provoke a misrep at startup to make it easier to unban, but in both cases, that requires some technique, and google ads you can advertise with an account that has nothing to do with it, but that doesn't change anything.

depend, if you have at least 30% of your ads acc locked your whole MCC can get ban, so yes good solution but not for a newbie

MCC normally have a Google support rep easier access, so ban is not an issue.

Not at all, they have a better support when these MCC come from large agencies or fully white traffic team. For others, its exactly same and sometimes worst, cause it create a link between all the accs.
