Is there something wrong with Scrapebox?
I'm trying to scrape using an footprint and only 1 keyword with an private proxy and it return 0 results but when i'm searching in google from the browser it finds over 2000 results.
Please advise

I have an similar problem, google only returns 100 results for me in a scrape. In addition I have an issue with the proxy manager. If I abort an proxy test before it is finished, I am unable to do another one until I have restarted the program. I have mailed support but no reply. Anyone with similar isues?

Do you mean Goog's update or the latest sbox update? Goog's update caused a fair number of scripts I use to need some reworking. If you're running the latest version of sbox and still having probs with goog, I'd suggest sending a report into sbox support via the website.

FWIW, I"m not having any probs scraping goog (after updating to .31).

I always had a problem with running two instances when scrapping the TDNAM for some reason, just will not happen and if it does let me it will move the domains in the wrong instance. I dont use it often so nothing major for me

Yeah maybe (I usually have multiple instances running as well, hence the question). I've noticed problems sometimes with opening up certain addons in one instance if I have another addon open in another instance...I've never really looked into the pattern or anything much, just found other things to do in each instance of sbox. So that's one thing to check.

I've also noticed that occassionally the add-on window will not get focus (be hidden behind other windows), so once in awhile you have to hunt for it. Less common, but something else to look at.

I just launched the tdnam scraper and it opened and scraped fine...

Just a question. Has the timeout length for RANDOM been extended? When I use the random option both scraping and posting seem to take quite a bit longer than before. (Whether I use proxies or not).

not really sure about that, i updated it to the latest version and tried using both my private proxies and public proxies and tried to scrape using multi and single thread harvester. But the results for both are pretty bad .

Ah okay well now that you and dansomers have mentioned a couple things, I actually finally got my lazy sod self to look at it and noticed that an issue is that you can't open the SAME add-on in two different sbox instances (for example, I'm running the rapid indexer in one instance and can launch other addons in a second instance, but not the rapid indexer in the second instance)....I can launch any other addon in the second instance, but not the same addon I am using in the first instance...

I have two instances that don't have any addons open, just post comments right now.
On 3th instance I try to open addons and some work and some doesn't like TDNAM Scraper doesn't work.

Do you know how long does it take to download all domain, to check pr,alexa and backlinks for all ???

I'm afraid it would take so long that all good domains will be sold when I get final report.
I use sbox on VPS with 100mbs link but anyway I think it could take long time.

I have brought a handful oof pr4+ domains using the scrapper but god it takes a while, nothing to do with SB its just that 99% of the domains are forged!

As for using SB for finding them, that takes minutes to find and do the pr check but I dont have that much joy with the fake pr checker as it normally just shows error 01

not sure what is up with some of the add-ons not launching for you, deki33....are the other instances of sbox that are commenting perchance in the slow commenter mode?

But my friend can't use it at his netbook. Max resolution of netbook is 1024x600 and scrapebox is not compatible with this resolution.
He uses windows 7.

I saw someone post about this awhile ago. The report was you can't get to some of the controls @ netbook screen res'. There are virtual desktop managers that will let you get around that.

Use this footprint:

Make sure you tik Yahoo and then start harvesting.

If you want to check the backlinks to specific page use the following footprint instead:

link:yourwebsite.com/page.html -site:yourwebsite.com

Google and Yahoo indicate I have approx 1200 backlinks to a site. When I use SB and your suggested footprint and a selection of keywords (I assume you require keywords as well as the footprint) it finds 10K links. The 10K are reduced to 500 after removing duplicates. Anyway of scraping the full 1200?
